I would suggest trying Advanced System Care. This is a great free utility that helps tune up your computer, remove sypware, and can help you disable unnecessary programs that start automatically.

You can get a safe copy at www.DaleComputer.com

There are many reasons and answer for a slow computer. Did you upgrade to a newer operating system? Do you have enough RAM? Do you have a virus? Have you cleaned up your hard drive and do a defragmentation? Have you removed unneeded desktop items? How many programs do you have in the start up process?

Unless you are a techie who knows how to do the above it's best to take it to a qualified technician. Do not give it to your neighbors son friends uncle who is medical doctor. Too many people try to cut corners in computer repairs bey getting free help from a neighbor who is not a computer technicians who repairs computers everyday and causes more problems then they fix. You should not be charged over 1 to 1.5 hours of bench time to optimize a systems.

There are 100 different reasons for poor performance. It could be a virus or adware. It could be poor disk performance or insufficient memory for the application mix that you have running. It could just be that your machine can't do what you want it to do. If it worked well once, it can still do the same job but if you're doing more than you did before, it could just be that it's not made for it.

Often, it's causes by too many unnecessary programs starting when the system comes up.

There's no magic fix. You need to know what you're looking for and what to remove. Remove the wrong thing and the system can become inoperable.

The best solution is to take it to a reputable technician and have them take a look. It should cost a fotune either. IF they know what they're doing, it should take more than an hour of the technician's time to identify the problem.

Beware the bench time bill. Some tools take hours to run to clean up things like the disk. They shouldn't charge you for that time. The tech isn't sitting there staring at the machine.

Again, there's no "go faster" button. Have it properly checked out. It could just need a 'good cleaning"

Computer freeze ups can be caused by a number of different conditions, most of which can be handled with an inexpensive utiility. Slow downs are often the result of the same problem. Without going into technical details of why, let me just lead you to a simple solution. Ace Utilities is available at www.acelogix.com as a download. It is free to use for 30 days before purchase is necessary to keep using it. Cost is $29.95 and is worth every penny, because you can keep using it forever. When you buy it, make sure you make a record of the key code so you can keep moving the program to your new computer when you buy one. When you run the program, do not use it expert mode (it will ask if you want to), just select the wizard in the upper right corner, check everything except history, tell it to start and let it run. I will find a number of errors and fix them. Start it again and keep repeating the process until the results all come up zeroes. Your machine will start to run much better. Just run the utility once or twice a month to keep your house clean. Think of it as taking out the trash.

Just do a clean install of windows or osx and reinstall all your programs. The problem almost always goes away but if it is still freezing, you have hardware issues and should see a technician or get a new one. geniustechs.net
