To sum things up, this is all I have available and I'm wondering if I can make some kind of sauce for meat or veggies or anything, just some kind of sauce that tastes pretty decent. -red wine vinegar -olive oil -basil -thyme -oregano -garlic powder -salt -pepper That is all I have that would actually be relevant to it. So do I have enough to make a decent tasting sauce or will I need to wait until I go shopping later in the week?

Do you have any butter, flour, or cornstarch? If so, these are thickening agents and you can melt the butter, sprinkle some flour in to make a roux. Then cook it in the pan til it turns peanut butter color. Then whisk in milk or water or cream if you have it. Then add your seasonings. All these seasonings work well together. Leave out the red wine vinegar and olive oil.... whisk those together for a vinaigrette and put on any vegetables you have in the house. :)

If you had some canned diced tomatoes or just plain tomato sauce you can add those ingredients and make a nice red sauce.
