Does spinal blocks for c-sections hurt?
I am having a c-section this coming week and I am scared to death and don't know how to feel, this is my first and I have heard that over all there not that bad but the thought of a needle in my back just freaks me out. Any advice?

For most women, the needle in your back just feels like a poke and sting, then some pressure as they advance it towards your spinal column. Fortunately, most anesthesiologists will give you a local injection of numbing medication before they stick the bigger needle in.
