It;'s always best to check out the work of each workroom you may consider to reupholster your furniture as the quality of the work is as important as the quality of the fabric you use when reupholstering. The "best deal" usually means you are working with an upholster that doesn't have the experience you'd like to see which can mean lousy work. You only reupholster infrequently, buy the best labor to do the work even if it is a little more costly, you'll be glad you did!

Tips on Choosing Your Auto Upholstery Shop from Danny’s Upholstery, Your One Stop Upholstery Shop in Virginia Beach
Chances are, if you are searching for an auto upholstery shop you are probably wondering what questions you should be asking. What should you be looking for? How will you get the best deal?
Well, this is what we hope to answer so whether you choose Danny's or one of our competitors you will know you made an informed decision.
• Mobile upholsterer's can literally come and go. Don't be left unable to contact a "professional" because he's rolled his shop up and out.
• Since your vehicle matters, consider where you are going to leave it for a job. Is it somewhere you feel good about?
• Is the shop insured? Is the shop clean? Is the location safe?
• Were the people there knowledgeable?
• Were you able to get an estimate in writing? Was the pricing you received in line with other estimates?
• Were you able to find references and testimonials from previously satisfied customers?
• If left overnight, will your vehicle be parked inside or left outside?
• Find out how the shop will do a repair. For instance, if there is a hole worn in your car seat will they be repairing springs and rebuilding the pad or just tossing a towel into the hole then covering it back up?
• Does the shop have an online portfolio and/or website showcasing their upholstery work on other autos?
• What is the quality of materials being used to replace or repair your vehicle? Are they able to order original equipment from the manufacturer (OEM) and custom materials to your specifications?
• Did they take a deposit to order materials? Did they set an appointment to have the work completed and give you a time frame on when you can expect the work to be done?
• Have you heard of this shop before? What kind of reputation do they have? Do they have a history of customer satisfaction? How long have they been in business? Do they stand behind their work?
• Have others in the automotive industry used this shop? Do they make referrals to them? Ask the upholstery shop for references.
• Were all the options explored and explained or were you just told a price and left in the dark about the how's, what's and why's?
• REMEMBER, CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS LESS EXPENSIVE!

Well I wish that I was closer to Virginia. Here there are several people who reupholster but they generally do the work at their homes, like myself. If there is any type of fabric store they can do the job or refer you to someone who can. Hope this helps sorry that I missed it earlier
