Unless you know what you are doing and have all the right materials in order to obtain a good repair, the answer is you shouldn't attempt it. A leather repair kit that a pro would use is a minimum of $350-500. You can go online and find these leather repair kits, but I have to assume you want it to look as if the leather was never torn in the first place, once the repair is done. I'd leave this to a pro. Yes I know I am a pro also, but really, you need to call someone that can do this properly, or you'll end us with a repair that looks as bad as the torn leather does. Just one mans opinion.

The best way and most efficient way to repair a gash or rip in leather with colorglo They actually have a liquid vinyl that is melted over the rip and looks like it was never there. They are mobile and will match the colors perfectly with in just a few hours and around $150 later the leather is new.

You can back the tear with a piece of cotton/muslin with adhesive on it until tacky then simply press edges together. You may find a local upholsterer who repairs leather....it takes professional repair products. If you were local I would be happy to repair the rip. If it is along a seam, go to a sewing notions store and purchase a leather hand sewing needle and heavy duty thread and hand stitch closed.

Um that is a hard one. There is an expensive way (the right way) and there may be a cheap way out. Some companies offer leather reapir services. Do a search online. Of course the right way is to recover the sectional. You will find companies that offer recovering in your local ttelephone Yellow Pages. The pirce of recovering depends upon the grade of leather that you select. We like the medium grades in all leathers because the medium grades are not too cheap and not too expensive. 1 Contemporary sells fine Italian leather, American leather, and leather sofas from China. Any American or Italian leather is most likely good quality, unless you select the lowest grade.

I recommend putting in a subpatch using a flexible adhesive. Bring the edges as close together as possible and then use a leather filler to seal and level the gash. Add color to match and then top coat to protect.
If this sounds too difficult, contact Fibrenew in your area (www.fibrenew.com).

We offer free estimates in our area, so I am sure there is an upholstery shop in yours that does the same. We suggest you get at least 3 estimates, since there may be some options out there on how to repair.

Most sofas between the cusions have a little extra leather. Sew it to the hole, or just sew the hole shut. :)
