The key to long golf cart battery life is proper maintenance. The 50% rule is what gets you the extra year or so on the life of your batteries.   So what is the 50% rule?  Before you re-charge go to about 50% on your remaining battery charge than go through a complete charge cycle. Dont go to 10% and re-charge, and dont use 15 % and then re-charge......target the 50% range everytime then re-charge. Check the water level.....check ....check and check....dont let that water fall below the plates! Use only distilled water commonly found in your grocery market, about 1.09 cents per gallon. Water from your tap has trace minerals that cling to your plates and diminish the long life of your battery. That's all for now!
