Thank you for your interest in becoming a Legal Nurse Consultant. I have received many calls and emails from new graduates interested in this career. Legal Nurse Consulting is definitely becoming a popular career - in fact, CareerBuilder has ranked the career of Legal Nurse Consulting as one of the "Top 10 Hottest Jobs for 2007". Studying to become a LNC can be tricky for new graduates, however. Experience in the medical field is an absolute must for this type of work. If it continues to be something of interest to you as you move through your career as a Registered Nurse, there are several avenues of study and two certifying bodies for LNC's. Feel free to email me if you should have any questions. Good luck in your new career! Working in the Pediatric ICU will give you mountains of experience and an extra pair of wings with The Big Guy. Best Regards, Aimee
In the community I reside in there is a strong organization tied to the National Assoc of Legal Nurse Consultants. You may wish to visit this website and attend a meeting in your area. Net working is so important not only in education but also in moving cases between the members for continuity of services.

Aimee,
I would like to meet with you to discuss the topic of legal nurse consulting. I am a new grad working in the Peds ICU at MUSC. However, once I get my feet on the ground, I would like to study to become a CLNC. I would value your time if I could pick your brain on the field of legal nurse consulting. I live in Mt Pleasant, so maybe we could get together at a Starbucks for a cup of coffee. Please let me know if you would be willing to meet with me.
Thanks,
Steve
