BEST OPEN MRI

While people who do MRI have varying qualifications - I always caution the patients it is imperative you go to a facility that has a fellowship trained MRI physician to monitor and interpret their MRI study.  Most places do not have a fellowship trained doctor on site.  Our always does.  We also offer interpretations as you leave our facility if you request it.  But we always get a report to your doctor that same day.

If we see a brain tumor or something serious we call your doctor immediately and give the patients thier results.  In the case of cartilage imaging this has implacations for older patients with artritis or younger athletes with cartilage softening.  If you do not do 2mm contiguous images you will miss cartilage lesions.

Our knee study has always included 2 sets of contiguous 2mm thick cartilage sensitive images.  We do it twice to make sure there is way we could miss a lesion.  No other facility does this.  3T has remarkable speed and c;airty and your choice as a patient is to choose the best or to go to a less capable facility.
