It has been a while since I have blogged about a deal.  This one will be another on that I missed but not in the usual way.  This is one I never looked at investing in but where the founder is an executive who worked on my team at Spoke and who I talked to about creating MerchantCircle.  Tod is a great entreprenuer who has been working to create something important since he walked out of Stanford and who is one of a very few Stanford B school grads that are the exceptions to my bias against high ego, no execution GSB grads.  Brightroll was recently funded by Rob Thies from Scale.  Rob and I have invested together on things like Tapulous and he also also funded Spoke back when Tod was there.  In fact, I was introduced to Rob by Chris from Topix who also was at Spoke as my co founder.
Brightroll has created a great new ad network for video at just the right time to capture a massive growing trend of video consumption over the web.  He had a great video on Fox today and everyone needs to take a listen in on the piece.
