Cypress Community Festival

Cypress resident Wanda Slade has been appointed as Vice Chair of the Cypress Community Festival Association. Festival Chair Dave Sluga made the appointment and Association members ratified the decision at their January meeting.

The Vice Chair position became vacant due to the resignation of Roberta O'Toole. Roberta is very active in the community and will continue to serve on the Public Relations Committee for the Festival.

Wanda Slade lives in the Cypress area and has served as the Booth Chairperson for the Festival during the past five years. The Festival welcomes vendors and is known for its unique blend of shopping opportunities. The event is dependent on the support of many individual volunteers and local business sponsors.

The Cypress Community Festival is the signature event for the City of Cypress. This year will mark the 30th anniversary for the Festival. More than 20,000 people normally attend this gala celebration. The 2010 Festival is set for July 24th.
