I have been an express customer for several years and have never been late on a payment. I have not had internet since last Friday Jan. 30th 2009. I have tried to contact Digital Path (First Texas Broadband) since then. I have tried several numbers for them, even the cell number of the owner and they all give the out of order busy signal. Some one help!
Stay clear until things are straightened out!
Gary
My service has been down since sat AM with the same already mentioned in this blog. I have my phone service with 1st tx bb and received an email from Wireless over Texas regarding the changes. Service is expected to be up in the next day or so. I spoke with Darell 469-324-4570.
I have had the same problem with them as mentioned above. I can't believe they don't have a recording on their phone or something. I could get through over the week-end and left several messages and got no call back. Yesterday I only got a fast busy on all of their numbers.
So if they are going to be up in the next couple of days what was their problem? I think I am so irritated that I am going to change service providers even if they happen to come back up. That is really bad, my husband depends on the internet for his business.
Want to thank David for posting the Cell phone number of Darell ( CIO and Owner) of First Texas broadband.. Have been trying to contact them for 3 days now.. No one is answering the phone.. My service has been down for 3 days no reply for them.. I was told that they have not paid there rent on the Tower and the owner of the tower has removed there equipment.. Which explains why I have no service.. If you still have service you need to start looking fast..
Just talked to Darell. Said he was no longer with the Co as of about a month ago. The home page http://www.1txbb.net says the Network Admin had left and hijacked there e-mail domain. Going to guess they were talking about was Darell?? Not saying he did or did not, just putting 2 and 2 together. Anyway he gave me 2 more numbers 972-284-4901 (Tina) and 972-284-6500 (David). I left a message at both numbers, (no one answered the phone.. It seams that First Texas Broad band, is really Total Network solutions of Rockwall. Still poking around..
I was able to contact Tina at 972-248-4901. There was a man in the background who said he was David. There seems to be an issue between Derell and Tina/David at Total Network Solutions ( aka first texas broadband. David was telling me someone has hacking there CISCO routers. That an ex employee ( my uess Darell) had left an locked them out of there voice mail.. I was told they are not an answering the phone due to call volumes.. So that is all I know. Not saying any of this is true. Just telling you what I was told by Tina Yound and a man in the background that said he was the owner of First texas and co called OneStop and his name as David?? I have disconected my service.
This deal is so weird. The City of Josephine said the FTBB equipment would be gone from their tower on 03/31. FTBB (Lisa) says they don't know anything about it, and have no plans of removing the equipment. I'm not sure what to do because I'm paid up with FTBB until August, don't want to lose that money. I hope I can get a refund, if FTBB does get kicked off the tower. My internet has been working fairly well recently, I do not use the FTBB email. FTBB acts like they won't go down without a fight, the city acts like it's a done deal. I have a bad feeling that the legal battles are brewing and unfortunately the city of Josephine is going to be dragged into it. Each time I talk to some one at FTBB, I'm assured that they are working on the issues. I've read where their VM's and emails were locked or something. A service oriented company might invest in a $20 answering machine and a hotmail account. They have made no effort to contact their clients to let us know anything!
glad I found this site. been trying to contact 1TXBB for a week now, but to no avai. I was going to increase my speed as I plan to start working from home more, but may need to rethink. I am in the Lake Tawakoni area, I know of 2 homes that have jsut ordered service, so they are taking on customers, maybe just not supporting the existing ones.....that business plan will fail.
DO NOT sign up for their service - it sucks. they have no clients ervice. i live in quinlan and have to drive into rockwall, wait outside the locked down building until someone that works there leaves the private garage. so ci can go inside and speak to someone. my service has been down a week - again. i run my bus from home, and cannot afford to have no follow up. i udnertand tech probalme,s but they will not follow up with their clinets - only iof you are behind in paymenst will they contact you. stay far away - they should lose their license - which i personally am working on.
Now the service has been down since Saturday and they are telling us some bull about towers being down and they don't have a date when service will be up and running again. Cannot seem to reach them by phone. What is going on with this company?
Agree with all that has been said before - have had similar problems. Please use SOMEONE else besides First Texas Broadband. They will not answer calls and will NOT do what they say they will do
More issues with First Texas Broadband. I've been a customer for a number of years and would make a switch to another provider at the drop of a hat if other viable options were available. Steer clear of this company.
I am the new CIO of Total Network Solutions (dba First Texas Broadband). I have in fact replaced Darrell's position at this company. I have in fact changed much of the networks infrastructure and can ensure you that service is MUCH better than it was before.
I also have replaced many of the technical support agents in the office and when you call the office, you will be getting an answer. If not, leave a message and we WILL get back to you.
If you have any direct issues, contact me via e-mail at austin@txairmail.net in which I will respond to each and every one.
I'm determined to turn this company around. It has potential and it WILL change.
I switched to Argon. Never looked back.

First Texas Broadband Issues: Service OUTAGE for 2 MONTHS.
5/26/2011 3:30 pm Kaufman Tower outage begins.
6/14/2011 Going to Tower to replace switch and backhaul unit.
6/15/2011 Tower was finally climbed with new backhaul unit.
6/16/2011 Now they determine that they don't have the correct backhaul unit. They did not have an inventory of what their company has. Now it may take a week to send gear to have it worked on and returned for installation.
7/11/2011 So now when called they tell me the service was repaired last night and they will extend my credit to 3 months. I verified the service was restored and then told them to cancel my service. When I asked why it took so long
they reported that the business was being sold to one of the employees which I thought was a bigger joke than its original layout. If they guy as an employee didn't care enought to fix our issues how will this change when he wears the owners hat !!! Se
Looks like they may have “sold” the company to Austin. He is a 20 ish year old kid with no formal education other than what I taught him. I hired him originally. And fired him. Austin is not a bad kid, but not as smart as he thinks he is.
Looks like this might have went down around July 2011…
His e-mail is/was Austin@txairmail.net but do not expect that to work since the mail.txairmail.net domain does not respond now.
His full name is Austin Jordan. (could be Jorden)…
There was never a tech support staff for Austin to replenish. That was the major issue between David and I - no budget to hire support so I had to try to run / engineer / market / install / and provide tech support.... it was a losing battle.
although service has always been sketchy at 1st. texas----------no service 8/10/11 - still down as of 8/11/11---phones not answered.at buisness.. web site not working...emails not working.......no mass email to customers with any explanation ---anybody know anything about the situation ???? -- I think the boat has sank on this one----not the way to keep customers ....
Ah.. so it isn't just me... I've been down since 8/10 and see the exact same thing.. web site doesn't work, their phone lines are down...
Same situation here. We have been down for two days with no way to contact them. Looks they bit the dust.
What about the bank Drafts? Think they will work and they keep robbing us?
1st Texas Broadband has changed it's name to FAIL.NET
R.I.P.
I just cancelled my bank draft and am disputing my current charges. I have called a company in my area (Kaufman County) called Wi-five, and their are installing my attenae first of next week. They answered the phone on the first dial, and called me back later to make sure all was well. They stated they are getting alot of calls from Tx Broadband customers who are switching over.
I'm fairly certain that the company has gone under. I'm in the Quinlan, TX area. I've called every number I could find after doing a number of WHOIS/Google searches and they were all dissconnected.
I'm switching to SkyBeam (www.SkyBeam.com) they cost less, have faster speeds, and will give you a free install if you switch from another company (e.g. First Texas Broadband). A friend has had them for 3 months with no complaints.
If you use them tell them that Jeremiah Warren referred you. My referral number is 50079422.

It would have been nice if they would have let their customers know about this. How infuritating.
On a side note, if you read Darrel's "blog" above the company was in no better shape when he ran it.
The customer service was/is the same as it has always been [unacceptable] which Darrel does acknowledge the [training] of.
My advice would be to run far away as possible from any individual associated with [Digital Path - 1TBB] past or present.
There are no excuses "period" for running a customer based business in the manner many of us have experienced with these providers.
We are having the same problem with them. Does anyone know what other satellite provider we could use out here? Wild Blue has a 3 week waiting list.
Just went up to the office. Large sign on the door "For Lease." The number to call was the Leasing Agent - she said they "moved out in the night."
Oddly, I am back on-line now. No email, tho, and website is down. Glad I switched to gmail a while back. I am in Rockwall County and can't get anything else. Wild Blue has no openings; no DSL; no cable.
Bummer.
Thanks to Jeremiah's post, SkyBeam will install our service this coming week!! Shame they don't advertise in Rockwall, but they do service this area.
I don't know much I would read into the office part.. they sent out something awhile back saying they were moving and not to drop payments off there anymore...
My connection is back up, as well.
