The Keyport IHOP is more than just a local restaurant. The owners of this restaurant, Cliff and Mitzy Moore are very involved with the neighboring communities. They donate gift certificates, money, food, and their time to local organizations to help others. Some of the major organizations they are involved in include Children's Miracle Network, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Monmouth County, Clean Ocean Action, The Keyport Food Ministerium, and supporters of the National "Night Out" Community Block Parties in Keyport and Neptune. You can see the plaques, Mayor commendations and awards all proudly displayed when you enter the restaurant.
You'll see t-shirts that have been subsidized for the Keyport 5K, Keyport Day Camp, the different parades throughout the year, as well as the practice shirts for some of the local schools with the Keyport IHOP logo. Several Churches, Schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other nonprofit organizations have raised money through the Keyport and Neptune IHOP's. Mitzy Moore says, "In the 5 years we've owned the restaurant, I don't think we've turned down one donation request." Cliff Moore estimates the donations and contributions made from their Keyport and Neptune IHOP's top $250,000 since they purchased the restaurants. He says, "We give back to our community because it's these small Bayshore towns that keep us in business. It's our way of saying thank you we appreciate your business!" "We know our customers have plenty of other choices and we need to serve better food, with better service at a higher value," says Moore. Cliff has been involved in the Keyport Business Alliance, and is a stake holder in the Keyport Neighborhood Preservation Program and is involved in several other local networking and business organizations. He serves a director on the board for the Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce and received the President's Award this year for his contribution to the chamber and local businesses.
The Keyport and Neptune IHOP's have unique family oriented programs. On Wednesdays, seniors 55 years and older get 50% off the menu and on Friday's Kids Eat Free all day and are entertained by a cartoon character from 6-7:30. There is the Annual Breakfasts with the Easter Bunny in the spring and Breakfast with Santa at Christmas that keep families coming in again and again. Large groups are always welcome and call ahead seating is available so you don't have to wait as long at the restaurant. The Keyport and Neptune IHOP's are Open 24 Hours and accept other IHOP, diner and competitors coupons 7 days a week.
The Moore's have a FACEBOOK page to keep give their customers updated on events, the Cartoon Character schedule, specials and discount offers. If you have FACEBOOK; search Keyport IHOP.
