Time for Photo Classes at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

Posted 07:51 PM September 03, 2008

Time to get out the camera and learn how to take some great photographs.

Come discover the many plants and animals of the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory and learn to improve your photographs at the same time.

PHOTOGRAPHING PLANTS AND FLOWERS -  April 15 - May 27
Enjoy the plants and flowers of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory and learn to improve your photographs at the same time.  All camera types are welcome; however, students that can control their ISO, shutter speed and aperture will benefit the most.

PHOTOGRAPHING COMO'S ANIMALS AND OUTDOOR SPACES - July 18 - September 12
Enjoy the outdoor spaces and animals of Como Park Zoo and Conservatory early Saturday mornings when the sun is rising, the crowds have not yet arrived, the dew is on the flowers, and the animals are awakening.  Class is open to all, but students who can control their ISO, shutter speed and aperture will benefit the most.

No Time for Social Networking Sites?

Posted 07:24 PM September 02, 2008

Many entrepreneurs feel overwhelmed by the number of Social Media Communication Sites on the web today.   And just when we said,  "Enough, No  More,  Stop;"  we are told that more are on the horizon.

Only "old timers"  will rely on  emails and telephone calls according to today's newsletter from  FLYTE NEW MEDIA, entitled "Microblogging: The Future of Communications."  http://tinyurl.com/5dp658      The key to staying connected is discipline, balance and pacing.  We recommend strategizing your time so you are working on high priority emails and client requests during your main business day and working on social networking sites during your off hours.  For many it is a great fill-in during television commercials.  Or, if you have the resources and budget, hire a wanna-be professional blogger who would love to build their portfolio with your site(s).

And finally, be sure to add high quality portraits that show you at your BEST;   business formal portraits for your business sites and fun but sober pictures for more casual networking sites.

Good luck,  Wendy Blomseth, InBeaute Photography, Twin Cities Minnesota photographer

When do you look your best?

Posted 10:08 PM August 20, 2008

When do you look your best for a portrait session?  While that question can bring very subjective answers, there are some stereotypes that one can expect.  Typically, people that  look  happy, relaxed,  and well dressed within their cultural guidelines are judged to look their best.

And  if "when" is relative to a time of year, InBeaute Photography recommends clients schedule portrait sessions between May 1st and  October 31st.  For many, summer and fall brings long weekends and relaxing days with friends and family that can help you look  happy and relaxed.  In addition, for the small percentage of caucasian people who know how to safely get a light tan on their skin, the added color can give the impression of being healthy and attractive.

Nevertheless, we all have inner beauty that comes forward when we feel  genuine, truthful and strong.  Bring to your portrait session an inner feeling of success  and you will always look your best.

Book your next portrait session with Wendy Houser Blomseth, InBeaute Photography,  email:  info@inbeautephoto.com

il Vostro Boutique Opens in Saint Paul

Posted 07:11 PM August 20, 2008

Great News Saint Paul Shoppers!  We  now have   il Vostro Boutique, a women's Italian clothing and accessories boutique,  that is awesome!

il Vostro Boutique has unbelievably beautiful dresses and jewelry.  And the ambiance takes you away from Saint Paul so you feel like you're really in Italy.   Owner Stacey Finnegan fell in love with Italy and decided to recreate it for us here in St. Paul ( in addition to her first store on France Avenue in Edina).

Stacey and her staff really make the guest feel welcome and is so fun to shop with.

Come to 375 Wabasha, between 5 and 6 across the street from Ecolab.

Welcome Stacey and best wishes from Wendy Houser Blomseth, InBeaute Photography.

Art Exhibit During Republication Nat'l Convention

Posted 07:16 PM August 19, 2008

St. Paul Minnesota is the site of the 2008 Republication National Convention.   If you are looking for alternative events away from the Excel Convention Center, come to The AZ Gallery for their timely show entitled "A  Portrait  of  America".

InBeaute Photography photographers, Karl Blomseth and Wendy Houser Blomseth both have photographs accepted in an exciting and timely show at The AZ Gallery. The art show titled "A Portrait of America" will run August 26th through September 7th intentionally to correspond with the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. The original call for entries sent to artists requested art related to "America, memorials, americana, landscapes and scenes of U.S."

"San Francisco Singer" by Karl Blomseth displays a street scene of a singer performing with the dramatic backdrop of an American flag blowing in the wind.

"Memorial" by Wendy Houser Blomseth tears at your heart as you look at a torn U.S. flag interwoven between the ammunition belt bullets of the statute symbolizing a Vietnam War soldier with arms outspread asking the question "Why?".

AZ Gallery is located in the Northern Warehouse Building at 308 Prince Street, #130 in St. Paul, MN 55101 between Black Dog Cafe and Tanpopo Noodle Shop. Gallery hours are Friday 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. For current gallery news and to leave us a message call our Info Line: (651) 224-3757.
