Dos' and Don'ts of Client Gift Giving

Mark Twain, paraphrased, once said, "The difference between the almost right
word and the right word is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning." The same can be said for client gifts. But, as you're probably aware, giving gifts to business associates has become trickier recently due to numerous cultural, gender, religious, and business considerations, and more recently to an economic atmosphere in which luxury and frivolity may not be appreciated. Nonetheless, it's worth the effort because gift giving is a great personal relations tool.

Keep Company Name Front and Center

Well-Done Promo Products Keep Company Name Front and Center

Promotional items are a nearly $19 billion industry each year, according to the Promotional Products Association International PPAI. That's a lot of imprinted t-shirts, mugs, calendars, pens and flashlights -- and it's also a tried and true way to put your company's name in front of people.

A promotional product is basically a tangible memory tool, one that can help people recall your company's name when they need your services. That's why the most common promotional items are things people use every day, including pens, totes and wearables such as hats and shirts. Other common products include jewelry, sporting goods, games, computer accessories, magnets and edible items.

The results of promotional product use are significant, according to a PPAI study. Its research found that 76 percent of survey respondents remembered an advertiser's name on a promotional product they had received in the past 12 months, while only 53 percent could recall an advertiser's name a week after seeing it in a newspaper or magazine ad. Furthermore, 52 percent of respondents actually did business with a company after receiving its promotional product.

It makes sense, then, that the industry has nearly quadrupled in the past 15 years; the PPAI reported $5 billion in business in 1992. According to Vincent Whaley, president of Woodland Park, Colo.-based Distributors First International Inc., a national training organization for promotional products distributors, more than 95 percent of U.S. businesses buy promotional products to give to their prospects and customers.  by Julia M. How to select a corporate gift

How to select a corporate gift - Corporate gifts are gifts given out by a boss or corporation to employees for a holiday or a company anniversary or to demonstrate appreciation for all of the hard work that the employee(s) have done over the preceding year(s). Corporate gifts are also given out to a valued client to let them know that their business is appreciated. Above all, a corporate gift is given to show appreciation for the recipient and it should never be cheap or cheap looking.

One of the easiest ways to determine whether that business gift is a good choice is to think about whether it would make a good present for a family member. A good corporate gift should be a thoughtful token of appreciation for the recipient and should ideally be something that he or she can put to use as well. In short, if a corporate gift looks too cheap or generic to be given as a gift to a family member then it should not be given out as a corporate gift.

Corporate gifts can be a wonderful addition to any business, but can be poorly thought out or can also be an insult to the recipient if not done right.  One common mistake is for corporations to confuse promotional product vs. a giveaway.  A giveaway is something inexpensive such as a pen, key chain or laser pointer which is imprinted with a company’s name and logo and is intended to be given out and with no outcome.  And what do I mean about “No Outcome”?  No program with the product such as finding out who is receiving the product?  Who is the end user?  What do you want the product to do?  If you buy a promotional product but don’t have a program in place then it is just a giveaway and isn’t the whole point of the product to get more customers or to keep existing customer?  The program is what you want and the promotional product us just the tool to keep your name and logo in front of your customer.

Mobile Billboard Advertising

By

In the digital age, companies that want to stay ahead need the tools to do so. Mobile marketing is one of those tools. This method of advertising allows businesses to connect to those that they need to, effectively. It allows the organization to spend messages to mobile phones to promote a product or a service. It also for them to tell their targeted audience that the store parking lot they just pulled into has something on sale. Or, it allows them to know that today is the last day for the lowest price of the seasons. Mobile marketing works for several reasons.

Convenience

Let’s face it. We are all working on finding the best way to accomplish all that we need to in the fastest, most convenient way. Mobile marketing allows individuals to receive the information they need to reach their goals, when they need it. It is convenient because it allows for not external needs. They don’t have to get online to see the ad. They don’t have to have the radio on a specific channel either. They don’t have to watch the television commercials to hear it. They get the information on their mobile phone. How many people that you know don’t take their phone with them?

Get It To The Right Audience

Mobile marketing is targeted advertising. You don’t find yourself pushing a new electronic gadget on the senior citizen that doesn’t know how to send an email. Because there is an activation process, the marketing goes to those who it will work for, those who are interested in the products and services available. There are few other mediums that can do that.

Personal Touch

The personal nature of mobile marketing also is effective for this type of advertising. The message is sent directly to them, not to a board range of people. This personal nature is quite effective at making them click and buy.

Mobile marketing is an excellent type of marketing that we can count on seeing more of down the road. Because of how well it works, more and more companies are getting it that this is the marketing of the future. Why waste money, precious advertising dollars on a ‘maybe they will see it’ type of advertising? Mobile marketing is fast becoming the advertising medium.

So call us today about having your vehicle wrapped and turn it into a Mobile Billboard!

Stand Outs

My business offers great service. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and will do what it takes to make our customers happy. The buck stops here so there are no rules getting in the way of our ability to get customers exactly what they need. If you have a special situation (such as delivery requirements, after-hours service, or anything else), please contact us -- we want to work with you! One example of our great customer service was when a customer called and needed 50 t-shirts with their logo in multiple colors that same day for an business meeting next day. No other local company could do the job for that day and or for the amount of shirts. We did the order with no problems and the customer was so impressed that she is a returning customer for more orders.
