    Government Attacks Own Citizens!

They assault you, maybe even kill you, then they steal what you have. They don't charge you and you don't get your property back. You may think, "Oh, it'll never happen to me." Like a car accident, it happens to the other guy, not me; or it happens in other countries, but it doesn't happen here in the United States. Wrong! It is happening now! Everywhere! You'll be hearing a lot more about Americans being attacked, not only at their homes, but on the road and in their businesses. It's out of control and must be stopped. As the economy continues to deteriorate, it will only get worse.

A recent example was a private poker game above an auto body shop here in Pennsylvania. Police entered the building and seized $14,000 cash, personal cell phones, 3 televisions, and other private property. District Attorney David Freed said he wanted the operation shut down before it conceivably fell prey to a robbery. He said it without cracking a smile. What did he think the police had just done? "This game was a profit-making enterprise,'' Freed said during a news conference today at the Upper Allen police station. "With substantial cash passing through the game each week, it was a ripe target for enterprising criminals.'' Freed said.

Subsequently, on TV, this writer watched Police Chief James Adams state that no one would be charged with any wrongdoing! He bragged how the loot would be used to fund his department. And then his statement was followed by a station advertising break so viewers could see the daily results of the Pennsylvania State Lottery, the Mother of all gambling in the state. The hypocrisy of it all is staggering. When reading the following link, be sure to read the "comments" following the story.

The precedent for such theft by our police is the Civil Asset Forfeiture law so effectively used by the Feds. It's a fast and convenient way for federal, state and local agencies to replenish their dwindling money coffers. Whether it's alleged gambling, drugs, money laundering, whatever, it doesn't matter. They just get a corrupt and/or stupid judge to sign a warrant for them to search and seize. For the victims there is no court, and NO JUSTICE, just loss of personal property and maybe injury or death.

Even more onerous, and like all too many of these nightmare scenarios, what happened to Cheye Calvo, mayor of Berwyn Heights, Maryland is becoming all too common:

"Johnson, a private on the local police force, was making his accustomed rounds in the neighborhood when he saw a swarm of heavily armed men laying siege to the Calvo home. Inside, Cheye and his mother-in-law, Georgia Porter, were being held face-down at gunpoint with their hands tied behind their backs. The Calvo family's two black Labradors, Chase and Payton, were dead from gunshot wounds. The assailants who killed the dogs were leaving bloody bootprints throughout the home.
"This home invasion was, of course,

a law enforcement operation, typical of ‘no-knock' drug raids conducted practically every day across the country. The most significant difference wasn't that Cheye Calvo was completely innocent of involvement with narcotics; innocent people are terrorized and killed by drug raiders all the time. The key distinction here is that Mr. Calvo is Mayor of Berwyn Heights. That's one reason why Officer Johnson intervened to help.
‘That guy in there is crazy,' one of the stormtroopers complained to Johnson as he emerged from the crime scene (that is, the scene of a crime committed under color of state "authority"). ‘He says he's the Mayor of Berwyn Heights.'
‘That is the Mayor of Berwyn Heights,' Johnson told assailant, a member of the 's County police department (which has overlapping jurisdiction with the town police). Johnson quickly contacted Berwyn Heights Police Chief Patrick Murphy to tell him that a SWAT team had just laid waste the Mayor's home and killed the family's dogs. Glancing around, he couldn't see any evidence of a search warrant. Inquiries about this omission were greeted with the assurance that the document was ‘en route.'"
"Then, rather than continuing on his daily rounds, Officer Johnson stayed put, in order to make sure that Mayor Calvo and his mother-in-law weren't mysteriously hurt or killed."

Our last month's Liberty Merchant News dealt with many aspects of Keynesianism. What happened at mayor Calvo's home is the end result… "police-state-keynesianism." We have arrived. Welcome to the new America.

The good folks in Chambersburg, PA have again come up with a killer idea. Pictured here is the Liberty Dollar vending machine.

I’d say it’s pretty amazing because you insert worthless slips of paper and out comes shiny pure silver LDs. Only in America.
