Now Accepting Health Insurance
Luna Acupuncture is happy to announce that it now accepts BlueCross/BlueShield, BluePlus and PreferredOne insurance plans and will soon be able to accept HealthPartners! (Be sure to sign up for our newsletter for updates.)
Every insurance plan is different, so call your insurance provider to learn about your acupuncture coverage. Here are some questions you'll want to ask:
* Will my plan pay for acupuncture for my particular health concern? (e.g., some plans will only cover acupuncture as part of a 'chronic pain program')
* Do I need a referral?
* Has my deductible been met?
* Do I have a copay?
* How many visits am I allowed per calendar year?
If your plan does not include acupuncture coverage, remember that most Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cover acupuncture. Call Luna Acupuncture at (763) 954-1670 with any questions you have about health insurance, HSA or FSA coverage.

Most people are familiar with acupuncture, but did you know there's more to Traditional Chinese Medicine than just needles?
Tui Na (translated: ‘Push Grasp') is a form of Chinese medical massage. Tui Na massage techniques focus on acupuncture points and meridians, promoting circulation, reducing pain and activating the body's natural self-healing abilities.
Tui Na focuses on specific health concerns and/or areas of the body, rather than a generalized, full-body treatment, making it an excellent alternative and/or extension of Western-style massage.
Cupping is another traditional Chinese medical treatment. Glass cups are placed on the body after a flame has been inserted and withdrawn from the cup. This does not heat the cup, but creates a vacuum, producing suction.
Cupping promotes circulation, relaxes the muscles, decreases inflammatory substances, draws toxins from the body and alleviates pain.
Conditions Which Can Benefit From Tui Na and Cupping:
Back pain
Neck pain
Fibromyalgia
Headache
Digestive issues
Sprains
Arthritis
Frozen shoulder
Digestive issues
Stress
Insomnia
Common cold
Seasonal allergies
