According to the State Funeral Commission, any prayer service, Rosary, or other service provided by family, friends, family or clergy WITH THE BODY PRESENT, must be overseen by a Licensed Funeral Director.  If you have questions about who is licensed in your local funeral home, ask to see the funeral director's license!  They must be displayed on the wall in view of the public.

Be sure to watch out for those who say they are "locally" owned.  Make sure your funeral home is owned by people who live and work in your city and communities.  If not, imagine how they must try to "mislead you' behind those close doors which you cannot go behind according to State Law.

If at anytime you have a question about the State of Texas Laws, you may contact our funeral directors and we will be glad to advise you if your funeral home is following the State of Texas Laws and Regulations.  Many funeral homes do not.  You don't even have to tell us what funeral home you are speaking about or where in Texas you live.
