Animated St Patricks Day - I just revamped my website for March - made everything spring-y and green!

I'll be blogging for bucks today for some of my clients... always fun to do!

First, a widget is just a generic term for a non-specific product. Second, how do you sell your widget in this troubled economy? With limited advertising dollars, you can do quite a bit. Make sure:

*your website is optimized for Search Engines to come and index your site pages.
*you have a sitemap on your website
*you submit your site to all relevant search engines, ie Google, Live Search, Yahoo!
*you are listed in Yellowbook.com, Superpages.com
*you use Craigslist to sell your service or product
*you use Merchant Circle, there are many tools there to help promote your services and/or products

Just off the top of my head, those are the things that will get you off to a good productive start.

Because many people are starting to get into canning, I've added a page for canning information, canning recipes, and canning safety to my website. I've been canning many years, using my 22 qt pressure cooker and big water bath canner. I intend to add more recipes and other info as I come across them. There is even a link to a free online course for canning food safety from the University of GA. Safety is the key - but have fun with it too. I love canning. One of my favorite things is to hear the little "ping" when a jar seals. Come and visit:

For those of you who are tired of seeing the snow, I made an animated gif from some graphic prints that I designed from my own flowers, grown last year in my garden. Roses, irises, stargazer lilies and daffodils. I can't wait for spring!

I was inspired by the snow that is coming down! Here is an eagle animated gif. This was actually pictures that my husband and I took up in Cassville, WI this past January, and I added the falling snow. Though it is a distance for us to see the eagles that we enjoy seeing every year, the site that we watch eagles at in Cassville is very quiet and fairly secluded. It's also very beautiful and very cold. We were already in Moline, IL at the beginning of this month, and saw 2 bald eagles flying in. Though that was very early - the best time to see them is December-February. We're probably going to check out a new place to see the bald eagles - possibly Prairie du Sac, WI right after the first of the year.
