Homes and Collections

Inspired by the Course

and the Clubhouse

By Vicky Moon

Pinehurst based photographer John Gessner and author Vicky Moon from will be doing a signing for the new book Golf Style: Homes and Collections Inspired by the Course and the Clubhouse on Thursday, December 16 from at Tufts Archives in Given Memorial Library at .

Whether just starting out as a duffer or reaching the highest level of the game as a PA Tour pro, golfers of all kinds are united by their passion for the sport. Their desire to make golf a part of their lives extends far beyond the confines of their favorite course.

Now, Equestrian Style author Vicky Moon brings her lyrical writing touch and her expansive eye to the world of possibilities the game has inspired. With more than 500 stunning photos, many taken by award-winning photographer John Gessner and in-depth stories about the characters, the courses, the clubhouses, the traditions, the innovations, and the historical moments that make up the stuff of legend, olf Style: Homes and Collections Inspired by the Course and the Clubhouse  is the most comprehensive book ever for lovers of the sport and its iconic style.

Golf Style brings readers into the homes and decorating minds--not just the clubhouses--of famous golfers, award-winning course designers, and renowned interior designers. With sidebars on fashion and jewelry, collecting clubs, golf art and antiques, and using golf fabrics in the home, this book is as useful as it is inspirational.

Featuring eighteen chapters (of course), olf Style draws us into:

v  The expansion of Virginia Tech alumni and young golf champion Drew Weaver's home to accommodate his passion, including golf memorabilia and a growing trophy collection

v  PGA Tour veteran Fred Funk, who built his dream home complete with practice putting green

v  The influence of LPGA stalwart Sophie Gustafson's style of play on her golf wardrobe choices

v  Valuable golf art, in a chapter featuring more than a dozen notable historical and current golf artists

v  The world of Dorothy Draper's decorating heir, Carlton Varney, as he weaves golf style into the legendary Greenbrier Resort's décor using golf-themed fabrics and rugs, lamps with golf motifs, and other inspiring pieces

v  The annual gathering at the most famous golf site in , Augusta National, which epitomizes the golf lifestyle in all its forms--play, food, and fashion for The Masters.

v  PGA Tour player Duffy Waldorf as he uses his wine cellar and his passion for golf to entertain

  v And much, much more

Photographer John Gessner and author Vicky Moon's travels took them from Palm Beach to the reenbrier in West Virginia to the exclusive Augusta National olf Club in eorgia to Hay-on-Wye, Wales, all collected in to an elegant coffee table book with the very best a golf lifestyle has to offer. olf Style is destined to be a must-have collectible object and idea resource for every lover of golf.

It's my Anniversary!

Posted 05:42 PM September 24, 2010

Wow...time sure does fly by!  Today in the mail, I was so happy to see a letter from Creative Memories.  When I opened it, it was a cute card telling me that it was my 2nd Anniversary with them!  I have been selling now for two whole years!  WOW.

I am so blessed to be with such a great company.  What better way to save my memories for my son, then to scrapbook them for him to enjoy when he is MY age!

Have a wonderful day!

Theresa :)
