I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that my new Internet radio show, Life Stories debuted on Saturday November 8th on Blog Talk Radio.  I was joined by Lynn Placide of Faith Chapel Church here in San Antonio.  Lynn is a literacy advocate with the church and she and her daughter have implemented a Family Literacy workshop which is held monthly at the Carver Branch Library.

Lynn spoke about the program which I will say from experience is a wonderful thing!  It involves the family in the reading process in addition to offering education to parents on a wide variety of subjects.  In conjunction with business leaders in the community this program brings literacy to and area where it is desperately needed.  According to Lynn not only is the program helping the families but it is bringing them into the local library also!
