Alright, you have just bought a new car, do you have to wax it the first year? A little bit of information on cars, a car is painted with a primer one or two coats, then you get several coats of paint and then finally one or more coats of clear coat protector. The clear coat is meant to protect the paint, but as with anything it wears out over time due to wind, rain, blowing dust, snow and dirt. So this means if you don't wax your car it will keep looking good until the clear coat wears off, which is usually two to three years. Now if you wax your car regularly, meaning every 3 to 6 months this can double the life of your clear coat, so now it will last 4 to 6 years.
So yes, it is in your best interest to pay us a visit every 3months to let the wax protect your investment. Later we will talk about why there are different kinds of wax.

Alright, its August, kids are back in school what do you do now? Well have a little party for the free time you will have, or get excited the daycare bill will be almost gone. Or do you dread helping with homework, projects, parent teacher conferences, and open houses, oh yeah all the sporting events and the beloved fundraisers.
Well if you are wonder what to do next, I have an idea. Ok, I am a little biased but I believe this is a great time to have your home spruced up and get ready for the change of seasons. What does that mean? Well as the weather starts to cool and turn cold we tend to close up the windows and doors. Dust, dirt, pollutants, bacteria and other contaminates are held in the carpet, this is good and bad, good as it keeps it there and a lot can be vacuumed out and unlock hard wood floors doesn't fly into the air every time you step on it or turn a fan on or walk by, but it also needs to be removed. The only way to effectively remove the contaminates is to extract them, hot water (steam) extraction.
Luckily this serviced is readily available to most people. As we have talked about in past blogs, you can rent a machine but often doesn't have the suction power to pull the water out which can cause more problems than it solves. Aside from that you do have professional options, visit www.rccarpetcleaning.com.
So if you are looking for that something to do now that the kids are gone, give us a call 970-373-3336.

Well, it seems I started this blog and didn't finish it, I say started, it only had a title. Alright, simply it is less expensive to keep your vehicle than to start over with a new vehicle, most of the time. If you are having serious mechanically issues that may be different, but if you keep up on your vehicle maintenance then you can have your car for a long time. Maintenance it a couple of things, that the service recommended by the manufacturer, ie fluid flushes, oil and filter changes, tires etc, but this also includes washing, waxing, vacuuming etc. So why clean your car? To enjoy your vehicle and get the most out of it, time and enjoyment wise.

Good Morning and happy Washington's birthday.
I'll get to the point, why would you clean your carpets in the winter?
Well your carpet is the filter to the air in your home, I know you have a filter in the furnace, but your carpet traps dust, pollen, bacteria, and other pollutants. As for hard wood floors, they don't trap anything other than moisture, that being said every time you walk on your hardwood floors, all of those dust particales, dander, pollen, etc are kicked up into the air you breathe, not good. At-least the carpet will trap it until you can have the carpets cleaned.
Ok with that said, it is in your best health interest to have your carpets cleaned at minimum once a year and more often depending on your health conditions, pets, kids, etc. And with annual contracts you can have affordable clean carpets.

Carpet provides actual thermal resistance, or R-value. In colder climates or seasons, it retains warm air longer, an energy conservation benefit. Carpet also provides a comfortable place to sit, play or work and gives a room an overall warmer feeling.
You can choose from many thousands of carpet styles and colors. That means your ultimate choice will reflect how you want to personalize your living space. Carpet can be a neutral foundation, or it can be a focal point with vibrant colors and stronger bolder patterns and textures.
Carpet is ideal for cushioning our footsteps, reducing slips and falls and minimizing injuries when falls do occur. Carpet provides safety protection for the whole family, but especially for toddlers and older individuals.
Big screen TVs, speaker phones, computers and modern sound systems make our homes noisy places. Carpet helps absorb these sounds. Adding a cushion pad beneath your carpet reduces noise even further. Carpet also works as a sound barrier between floors by helping to block sound transmission to rooms below. And carpet on stairs helps mask the sound of constant foot traffic.
Carpet will maintain its life and beauty for many years when properly cleaned and maintained. Learn to keep your carpet looking great over time by following these simple steps:

Most places you go shopping has options to buy mini carpet cleaners where the vacuums are located. This may seem like an easier route to go compared to having a professional clean your carpets, when really that idea is all wrong.
Carpet cleaning is very essential when you have that investment in your home. Dirt is carpets worse enemy. It tears up the carpet fibers every time it is moved. With dirty carpet, every step you take cuts into your carpet and vacuuming regularly is not enough. Vacuuming daily does not clean your carpets. Carpet is like a sponge. It wants to suck up everything it possibly can and keeps it deep down in the base of the carpet and the carpet pad. When you use a mini carpet cleaner it is not very efficient. The surface is clean and that's about it. The carpet absorbs the water and the suction power on that little carpet cleaner is not strong enough to suck out all the water you just put into it. Now you have wet carpet. Not only is that not fun to walk on or deal with, mold and mildew begin to grow about 72 hours later. If the carpet pad is still wet at that time, there is a high chance of it molding which then needs to be replaced for health reasons. So your carpet is wet and only the surface is clean, what about all the dirt below it that hasn't been removed? Well, there is this process called wicking which involves a previous stain coming back due to the carpet not drying fast enough. On top of the chances of stains reappearing and molding, the soap you mixed with the water inside the machine was never rinsed out of the carpet. Soap attracts dirt and it dries to be sticky and sometimes hard. All of your traffic areas will probably end up being dirtier than they were before you decided to rent or buy the mini carpet cleaner to do it yourself.
When the professionals come in to take care of the carpet cleaning issue, we make sure to get it done right. Our carpet cleaning machine is very powerful and is the latest patented technology. It its called a RotoVac. It has four rotating heads spinning in opposite directions to agitate the dirt from the base of the carpet and do a deep "steam" clean. We use over 200 degree water to kill any bacteria that might have been lurking in your carpet. Our suction power with the RotoVac extracts most if not all the water we used to clean the carpets even from the carpet pad. When we finish cleaning one room of carpet we set up fans as we clean the next room of carpet to have carpets almost 100 percent dry by the time we walk out of the door. Our carpet cleaning process includes a rinse cycle where we go over all of the carpet cleaning we just did again with fresh, clean water, getting rid of all of the soap previously mixed into the carpet fibers. We leave the carpet very clean and very healthy when we leave a carpet cleaning job.
