With the recent discovery of this documentation, Ralston School of Massage can prove that we have been in operation for 30 years! Although it has actually been longer, this precious little student log book helps us show that Gilbert Ralston, our founder, was teaching since at least the summer of 1981.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are offering $30 massage for the rest of this year. That's right, we are lowering our prices! And we will also be offering special coupons here, on facebook and twitter.
Hope to see you soon in our Student Massage Clinic for your much needed oh-so-affordable massage!

Hello,
As school owners, we are blessed to share the gift of massage education with so many people. It is our life's work, and students enrich our world as much as we shape theirs, which makes teaching both a pleasure and a privilege.
For the last twenty-one years along with some of the most devoted instructors and staff members and channeling our shared love, passion, dedicated focus, not to mention bleary-eyed determination and stick-to-it-ness, we have trained the best massage therapists, dare we say it, in the world.
Yet as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, so we share with you; Bob and Debra are planning their retirement from teaching a full basic massage therapy course in August 2011.
In the meantime, through continued hard work and dedication of current staff and instructors along with us, the owners, we will help every student who is currently enrolled or wants to enroll, to graduate and become a part of Ralston School of Massage's lasting legacy. We are as devoted to these last 12 months as we have been to the previous 21 years, maybe even more. It is going to be a great last year!
So if you wish to enroll Ralston School of Massage is accepting enrollment for part-time students through early summer of 2010 and full-time students through October 4, 2010.
While we are retiring from teaching a basic massage therapy program, we will still be here for our graduates by offering continuing education for massage therapists through online courses and hands-on training in both workshop formats and one-on-one sessions. As we embark on this new area of massage education, our combined decades of knowledge, skill, and passion will continue to support massage therapists in their careers.
Our challenges have been many yet our blessings have been more. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Ralston School of Massage now and into the future.
Keep in touch for a better world,
Bob Oliver and Debra Rilea

A recent article from CNN.com Health Magazine talks about the many benefits created by massage such as lowered heart rate, reduce blood pressure and pain reduction as well as increased blood flow to muscles which may help them heal. Also massage seems to ease distress from migraine, labor pain and even cancer, as well as body tenderness seen with firbromyalgia and lessens stress, anxiety and depression.
With the many benefits of massage, it is not surprising that its popularity and use continues to grow even in our current economy. Join Ralston School of Massage and learn how to bring relief to people while earning a living!

As massage therapists, we love massage. It is that passion and love for massage that we share with our students. Every instructor here at Ralston School of Massage is a practicing massage therapist.* Whether they are teaching an anatomy class or hands-on skills you are immersed in decades of experience when you choose to learn with us.
We believe this gives your education more value by learning how to be a massage therapist from a massage therapist. It is a time honored tradition of educators mentoring and guiding the next generation of professionals into their future.
This belief is supported by the fact that our graduates 5-year pass rate on the National Certification Exam, required for Nevada state licensing, is 93%. This number is far greater than either the state or national average. Additionally, our students are successful in their careers with 5-year average of 57% still working in the field after graduation.
We encourage you to download our catalog or request one by mail. And when you have question, please call us, we are always happy to talk with you.

The Directors and students are having fun with the Monday Muscle Quiz! The Directors post a question on Twitter and in the School each Monday, usually before noon. The winner of the quiz receives a $5 gift certificate to Ralston School of Massage. We have given away $25 in certificates already.
There are 3 ways to participate: 1) Direct message from Twitter, this requires a Twitter account, 2) email the correct answer to mail@ralstonmassage.com or 3) Submit a Memo/Suggestion form to the office.
In addition to the Mondy Muscle Quiz, we post Daily Terminology Review- all questions come from study guide resources used to study for National Certification Exams. Which our super smart students rock with a 93% pass rate! You will also see affirmations, quotes, tips for students, Ralston History Facts and massage therapy information.
Please join us on Twitter and have fun, stay informed and perhaps also learn something new!
