Is There Vision Therapy Homeopathic Treatment for Blepharitis

    Blepharitis
Do you have any homeopathic remedy for Blepharitis? If not, what do you recommend for people with Blepharitis?
Thanks for letting me know and keep up the great work!

    Elena R.

    Dear Elena,

Blepharitis can cause a real annoying problem with the eyes with itching, burning and light sensitivity. Alternative therapies can help! Blepharitis is a chronic condition related to an underlying infection of the eyelids and often associated with dry eyes. As a homeopathic doctor I believe it is necessary to treat the underlying problem. DO NOT use antibiotics or steroids! These medications suppress the cause of the problem and there is also the danger of developing resistant bacterial organisms.

    • The first step is good lid hygiene. Use nightly lid scrubs with diluted baby shampoo (50% water and 50% baby shampoo) and gently scrub the margin of the eyelashes.
    • Shift your diet towards organic living foods and avoid all processed food/ preservatives.
    • Drink plenty of water- proper hydration is the best way to detoxify your body. The rule of thumb is to drink ½ of your body weight in OZ. of water.
    • Keep your eyes lubricated. I suggest using Homeopathic dry eye drops.
    • You might try eye compresses or eye soaks using Euphrasia or Eyebright Tea. Obtain some Euphrasia tea bags and soak them in hot water.
    • Use a clean cloth and soak your eyes twice a day for 10 to 15 minutes.
    • Begin taking extra omega 3 fatty acids. This will help to reduce the inflammation of your eyelids.

Actually, the disease is very hard to cure and topical treatment is insignificantly effective. The most important treatment is the self care treatment a daily trial of lid margin hygiene. This way to treat Blepharitis needs to be done correctly so it bring improvement and avoid the relapses, and consists in a trial of 3 stages. Source http://24drug.com/

I spent lots of money on homeophatic "treatment" for my blepharitis. World famous homepathic doctors talked and asked strange questions. No improvement whatsoever with ther sugar pills, but my wallet was empty.
