Put on a Happy Face: Web Survey
Every six months I march into my supervisor's office for my evaluation and possible merit increase. We chat amiably and right before my super checks off the "merit increase" and "exceeds expectations" boxes, he asks one innocent question, "Is there anything we can do to make your work better?" Yeah, right, like I am going to tell you! So I put on my happy face and deny, "No, everything is great. I love working here." I would rather fill out a web survey that would let me stay anonymous. I just do not understand why my boss will not purchase a simple web survey software that would make everyone's life so much easier.
