If you have holiday plans in your future, call soon - do not wait till you are ready to leave.  Sometimes extra time is needed to order hard to find parts. 

Whatever you plan to do for the holidays - we hope you enjoy some relaxation with your family and friends.  If you do need to drive, use caution and drive safely.

If holiday travel plans are in your future, plan ahead.  So many times we receive a phone call the day before a family is leaving for a anticipated trip - and we can't work them into the schedule.  Or we don't have enough time to make the repairs due to not being able to get the parts in time (sometimes they need to be ordered and we will not receive them until the next day.)

We had one recently that had to cancel their travel plans when we advised them that they needed hub and wheel bearing assemblies replaced - their vehicle was not safe to make the trip - and they could not afford both.  They knew something was wrong - they had been hearing the horrible roaring noise for weeks - but waited till two days before they planned to leave to have it checked out.
 
So plan ahead.  Call at least a week before you plan to leave - earlier if possible.  Make sure your family is traveling in a safe vehicle.

We are members of the Western Reserve High School Dance Team. There are currently 12 members under the direction of Vicki Williams. Our team would like to compete at a dance competition at on . We competed last year with one routine – this year our team would like to compete in the pom and the hip hop categories.

We are looking for sponsors to help defray the costs involved. Would you please consider a donation to help us? Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

The above letter was approved by Western Reserve High School - we have a good portion of the money raised to compete - but we need a bit more.  If you could help with any donation - it would greatly be appreciated.

With the economy the way it is, more of our customer are looking for ways to save money.  Unfortunately, some feel the best way to save is to avoid repairing their vehicle - until the last minute.  The problem with waiting is that in the long run - it could cost you more money. 

We have had vehicles towed in - with broken parts - the driver knew he had a problem - but did not have the money to make the repairs.  By waiting, he just added a tow bill, additional work that would not have been required if the repairs were made before, and now the vehicle is down and it may be one of the worst times ever - leaving you without a vehicle.  You may even loose time at work.  Some people are injured when the vehicle breaks down as well.

Proper maintenance saves money in the long run.  If you notice a problem, contact your auto repair specialist.  Ask them what can wait - and what could turn into a safety issue.  If you can't make all the repairs, at least try to take care of the safety issues.  Your life - along with your family and others - may depend on it.

Western Reserve Elementary Visual and Performing Arts will be hosting the annual Holiday in the Collins Craft Show on Saturday November 6, 2010 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Public admission is a donation of $2.00.

It will be held at the Western Reserve Elementary School on Route 20 in Collins.

There will be something there for everyone! 

Lunch will be served.  You will also find unique gifts, jewelry, crafts, candles, decorated gourds, Avon, baked goods - and so much more.

An added note from the creator of this event:

I am the Western Reserve Dance Team Advisor.  My team will be at the craft show again this year.  My dancers will be selling baked goods, treats and some craft items.  The money they raise will be used to pay for their outfits and any other expenses we may incur.  We will be set up inside the main entrance doors.  By the way - my mom is baking some sugar cookies and making some buckeyes - YUM!  She makes the best sugar cookies!

Mark your calendar so you can spend some time shopping for a unique craft, a new decoration, or a special treat to take home and share with the family (if it makes it home that is).  Bring your friends and enjoy lunch together.

Time for school to start! 

Parents are buying school supplies, new clothes, and some are even celebrating the kids returning to class. 

Other parents are moving the older children into college - and holding on to the last few days of having their child at home with them.

And the smart parents are making sure their children who drive - high school age and college age - head back to school with a safe vehicle.  Parents need to take a few minutes and drive their children's vehicle.  Sometimes an inexperienced driver does not know the signs of potential problems.  Some can't hear them due to their loud music. 

If your child's vehicle - or if your own vehicle - needs repaired - call Williams Norwalk Tire&Alignment; and set up an appointment - 419-668-3071.

A friendly reminder - strongly enforce your child to NOT use their cell phone while driving (this actually applies to all drivers) - this is a major distraction - and the cause for far too many accidents each year.  This includes talking, texting, etc.   

Williams Norwalk Tire&Alignment will be closed from July 1, 2010 through July 5, 2010.  We will reopen July 6 to service your vehicle needs.
