Budget Concious Patio| Ecomomical Paver Patio Design

In today's economy, many people are searching for ways to make their dollars go further.  There are different ways to do this.  In today's blog, we will focus on the cost of materials.
There are some beautiful wall systems out there!  One that we frequently install is EP Henry's Coventry Double Sided Wall, typically around patios as a seating wall.  In my opinion, it is a high quality block with great aesthetics.  EP Henry's tumbling process does much to make a beautiful, natural finish.  But, beauty does come with a price tag!

So, what should one do?  Just choose a plain concrete block?  That might work, but it does not lend well to a beautiful, custom patio's appearance!  The great news is that there are other more economical alternatives for block.  Imperial offers an attractive, durable product that is up to 35% cheaper than EP Henry.  Imperial is actually made by EP Henry, but is a cheaper alternative.

For this custom concrete paver patio, we chose the Imperial Rustic Wall instead of EP's Coventry Double Sided.  This saved the client $1,300 just for this small job!  Imperial does offer less colors, and fewer different sizes (3 different lengths of block, rather than the Coventry's 5), but it is a great budget conscious choice!  This customer chose the Earth Blend for the wall.

For this small of a patio, there was not a huge difference in price between EP Henry's Old Towne Cobble vs. Imperial's Cobble Stone.  So we installed the Old Towne Cobble in the Dakota Blend, added a circle kit for some pizzazz, and added a Charcoal border around the circle and the perimeter of the patio.
