Young Living Essential Oils welcomes 2011!

Posted 01:25 AM January 06, 2011

Well, it's time for another blog so I thought I would write about my most recent experiences with Young Living Essential Oils!

Once again, I've reflected on recent events, and I am very thankful to have Young Living Essential Oils, as a wonderful part of my life.

Recently I suffered from a small bruise on my left-foot middle toe, OUCH...anyways, I also have mild hemophilia ( a mild form of a bleeding disorder ), so this bruise was not serious, but it could have been.  I used a combination of Lavender Essential Oil, and Young Living's Proprietary blend Panaway (helichrysum, wintergreen, peppermint, and clove...(smells wonderful by the way)...on the bruised foot, and of course it's all gone now!  ( Very happy to see it go ! )

I also re-entered an old habit into my routine, every night before bed I use the following combination of oils on my feet before bed:

5 drops of lavender and panaway (homemade blend)
5 drops of cedarwood, patchouli, and palo santo (homemade blend)
5 drops of refreshment (homemade blend that includes cassia and at least five other oils...)
5 drops of another homemade blend that I mixed including Evergreen Essence, Western Red Cedar, Tsuga and Palo Santo.

Basically I mix and match, 10 drops per foot, but I am always sure to use the first blend on my left foot middle toe!

In summary, the key to relaxing at night seems to be this: 10 drops per foot takes you to heaven!

I love Young Living Essential Oils, if you are interested, please call me at (360) 580-0423 or email me at jeffwebgamer@hotmail.com OR oceanjeff37@gmail.com

Thanks for tuning into Jeff's Young Living Essential Oils blog.  Stay tuned and have a great year in 2011!

My Natural Health Lifestyle Progressing.

Posted 02:23 AM April 18, 2010

Well, I have future hopes of opening a natural health restaurant sometime in the next decade (maybe after 2012 when everyone thinks the world will collapse, I'll do it on the rebound ... lol ) Anyways, I've recently bought an Aerogarden, which is an indoor hydroponics appliance based on NASA technology to grow plants without soil in your home.

I am growing Thyme, Basil, Oregano, Mint, Dill and Chives.  So far it's only been a few days, but the Thyme and Basil and starting to sprout and grow!

Also, this full spectrum grow light has enough power to allow me to have a second hobby of growing WHEAT GRASS for JUICE.  So I am growing Wheat and Barley Grass, since they are both usable as a juice.

I also bought a Wheat Grass Juicer, a manual crank juicer, which is hopefully going to work out great!  I also bought some books on RAW FOOD preparation, much of which I already do, and a book on RAW FOOD DEHYDRATING, to preserve the nutrients and enzymes of LIVE RAW fruits and vegetables.

Well, I will let you all know how these purchases work out for me, so far so good.

Have a great night, and if any of you live close to me and have similar interests, please give me a call, whether or not you wish to purchase the Essential Oils.  (you can try free samples anytime you like also)

Thanks all,

gnite,

jeff cummings

Tonight's Work, Tomorrow's Dessert

Posted 01:43 AM March 24, 2010

Ok, so tonight I made another CREAM NUT PIE.

This time I bought a whole bunch of raw nuts, including ALMONDS, CASHEWS, BRAZIL NUTS, MACADAMIA NUTS, HAZELNUTS, and PECANS.  So, all of those guys are included in the pie. PLUS, I put whole GINGER ROOT and BLUEBERRIES in the pie.

YUM!  It is going to taste so GOOD!

Anyways, I also made an awesome batch of my veggie burgers, by putting the mix of rice, barley, lentils and veggies in the Vita Mix Blender with the egg and flour, this was my lunch and dinner today, AND will be my lunch tomorrow.

PLUS, I've also got my mix of PINTO, BLACK, PINK, and SMALL RED BEANS in the crock pot tonight with some awesome RED BELL PEPPERS, which I bought at that new corner market by the gates of Ocean Shores, WA, they had these awesome looking red bell peppers in bags of three for only 99cents!  So I bought two bags.

P.S. On a side note, IGA Ketchup is actually a very good tasting ketchup...just a small endorsement.

Well, this is day two of my vegetarian lifestyle.  My next step is of course, to eliminate the eggs, but that's for another week's cooking.

Type to you tomorrow,

Jeff C

One More Step Toward Vegan

Posted 12:14 AM March 23, 2010

Ok, so I'm excited about today, I made my first ever VEGGIE BURGER HOMEMADE!

Yes, that's right, using nothing more than RICE, BARLEY, LENTILS, PASTA, a few VEGGIES, a Couple of Eggs, and some MULTI GRAIN FLOUR (made from my Vita Mix Blender earlier this week).

And the veggie burger tastes way better than any I've had before...mostly because it didn't sit on any store shelf, or become FROZEN at any point.

And of course, it's just the beginning of my new cooking experience.  Next I am going to try to make a BETTER VEGGIE BURGER, and then of course, make some sort of SCRAPPLE (sp? I may have spelled that wrong...) with chicken...yes, chicken, and polenta.

Anyways, I realize that this doesn't totally relate to Young Living Essential Oils, but in a way it does, because Young Living support the VEGAN lifestyle.  They offer AGAVE for a sugar substitute, which I've learned to use recently, and they also sell JUVA SPICE, which I use to season my VEGGIE BURGER mixture, and they also sell DETOXZYME, which is a very powerful and effective multi-enzyme treatment.

Well, that's all for now, stay tuned, as this week is going to be getting more exciting by the minute.  Tomorrow, I am going to go shopping again at The Market Place in Aberdeen, WA, and the Jay's Farm Stand next door, those are rapidly becoming my favorite places to shop!

Take care all of you,

Lavender cleans my feet every night.

Posted 02:13 AM March 22, 2010

Well, it's true that I am a Young Living Essential Oils Distributor #870389

However, this is only a part time job for me, my full time job is actually at a local hotel: The Quality Inn.

Anyways, after working for eight hours every night, I come home and eat my dinner, then I immediately get set up for the FOOT BATH with ESSENTIAL OILS!

Here's what I do:

First of all, I use a foot spa for my FOOT BATH TUB, I put this down below the computer, so I can sit on the computer and play games while soaking my feet.  Then I fill it up with two 8 OZ of hot water, after pouring the first 8oz, I put five drops of LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL in the bath, then I pour the 2nd 8oz.  Then I soak my feet for about 15 to 25 minutes, depending upon how long the water stays hot/warm...

This is absolute heaven, and it's something I've only recently started doing, but already I can tell you: I'm hooked.  My feet feel so much better, and they are cleaner than ever before!! It is so exciting to be able to PREVENT problems before they develop.  After all, I've never really had anything wrong with my feet, but this little bit of preventive treatment, makes me feel even better about my body.

Well, take care all, stay tuned for more exciting developments about my life.

Vegan Raw Foods are definitely in my future.

Posted 02:26 AM March 18, 2010

Well, today I've done something that I never thought that I would do:

I tried making a VEGAN CHEESECAKE, which really should be called a VEGAN RAW NUT CREAM PIE.

It was absolutely awesome, and I'm making another one tomorrow...admittedly I've already eaten too much of it, about HALF...but it's really that good, and good for you, it's more like a meal as far as the nutrition goes, but it tastes like a dessert.

The one that I am making tomorrow, is going to have some WHOLE FOODS in it, including:

RAW CASHEWS
RAW ALMONDS
RAW SPINACH
RAW CUCUMBER
RAW GINGER
...plus a whole host of other ingredients...

Stay tuned for more about this topic in the coming weeks,

Jeff Cummings

P.S. I also shared my Lavender Essential Oil with someone tonight, and they loved it!

Myrrh essential oil from Young Living Essential Oils!

Posted 03:00 AM March 03, 2010

Greetings in March, yes, well, I cannot believe that yet another month has gone by!

This blog I would like to share with you some great information about Myrrh essential oil.  I have used Myrrh essential oil, almost as long as I've been a distributor for Young Living Essential Oils.

The first kit that I ever purchased from Young Living, was the Twelve (12) Oils of Ancient Scripture Kit.  It contains the following essential oils:

Sandalwood (aloes), Cassia, Cedarwood, Cypress, Frankincense, Galbanum, Hyssop, Myrrh, Myrtle, Onycha, Cistus (Rose of Sharon), and Spikenard.

Gary Young also includes a wonderful CD presentation of his travels to biblical lands and discovering the wonderful art of using these 12 oils for health and vitality.

Myrrh (Commipihora Myrrha)

Myrrh has a rich, smoky, balsamic and medicinal aroma that is purifying, restorative, and uplifting. It's a helpful aid to meditation, with one of the highest levels of sesquiterpenes.  Sesquiterpenes are constituents that directly affect the hypothalamus, pituitary, and amygdala, the seat of our emotions.  Myrrh is referenced throughout the Bible, and the Arabic people used it to support damaged skin.  Today, myrrh is widely used in oral hygiene products.

I love the cleansing feeling I get on the feet, hands, legs, arms, neck, face, or wherever I apply Myrrh oil.  I enjoy mixing it with other oils, such as Cedarwood, Palo Santo, Patchouli, Lavender, Peace and Calming Blend, and many others on a nightly basis for use before bedtime.  It has such a nurturing quality that comforts the body before bedtime.

I also use it when cleaning my feet after a daily jog or walk.

Myrrh will always be a part of my life, and I'm grateful to Young Living Essential Oils for providing this opportunity to share it with the world.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Thanks for listening to my blog,

Jeff Cummings

Lavender - My Favorite Young Living Essential Oil Product

Posted 12:06 AM January 11, 2010

It just so happens, that my favorite essential oil - Lavender, is also featured on my website at http://www.jeffpowerweb.bravehost.com

Here are the details on the benefits of Lavender Essential Oil from Young Living:

Lavender Essential Oil!

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Therapeutic Lavender oil is an adaptogen and can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. Therapeutic-grade lavender oil is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was among the first to discover these properties when he was severely burned in a laboratory explosion. Lavender oil may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lavender has an approximate ORAC of 3,669 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter, and is a way to measure antioxidant activity.

Retail Price is $29.95 for 15 wonderful milliliters of Young Living Essential Oil.

Please note that if you only invest $40 for the Young Living Starter Kit, you can purchase Lavender for wholesale prices, and you also get the support for new distributors mentioned in my previous blog and on my website at http://www.jeffpowerweb.bravehost.com

The wholesale price for Young Living Lavender is only $20.75!!

Such a beautiful product, and Young Living also sells a Lavender Hand and Body Lotion, Lavender Lip Balm, Lavender Foaming Hand Soap, Lavender - Rosewood Bath Soap/Shampoo and Conditioner, and many more blends of oils from Young Living Essential Oils feature Lavender in their mixes.

Please call me at (360) 580-0423 if you live near Ocean Shores, WA, or if you are in town for a visit, I would be happy to show you these wonderful products if you are interested.

Thanks again for reading my blog, and look for more soon!

Sincerely Yours,
