High Island RV Park

My family and I visited there four days before Hurricane Ike arrived on the coast of Texas. We LOVED the enviroment and atmosphere. VERY PEACEFUL. When we heard of the damages done by Ike, we were devastated. All the people there where very nice and made us feel very welcomed. We can't wait until our next visit.

What a clean park with generous hostess. We pitched a tent on the mowed grass and had easy access to the bathroom/shower facility. Everything was clean and delightful. We will be back. Free ice is really appreciated.

Marie and Bat - Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home. My mother and sister joined us for the weekend and we fished, swam, beachcombed, visited and enjoyed everything. The rv is so great for the 4 of us - we had a great bar-b-q one night and eating outside in the "breeze" was a real treat. Sorry we had to leave because of Edouard - but we will be back soon.

Great time had beautiful weather. The campground was very impressive. Nice locals on the beach. Away from all the crowds. We rented a RV and it was clean and very nice. Free Ice Nice hosts....

We had a wonderfull time in our stay there. The camp sites were clean, grasse mowed, watching the birds feeding out back in the morning was relaxing, a short ride on our bikes to the beach. We enjoyed the quite evenings and visits with other campers there. This was our first trip out in our rv and they made it great with there help and knowledge. Thank you Marge for your kindness.

What a great place! We found it on the internet and had such a great time! Marie and Bat are awesome, the RV was perfect, the price is outstanding, and the beach was beautiful. Relaxing, fishing, birding, you can get it all here, not to mention really great shells we found on the beach. I recommend it highly and we will be coming back as often as we are able to!

My wife and I have been coming to this park for over two years and love it. Very nice facilities, and very clean and well maintained. The owners are also very friendly and helpful.

Very cute park situated around pretty,ocean style, home surrounded with beautiful plants and fountain.The owners Marie and Bat are about as nice as they come being very flexable and willing to answer questions for new comers.Bat even came to our rescue in wee hours of the morning(when he had to work the next day)when we stupidly got our car stuck on beach!The price of Rv was phenomenal At $50 a night !Very clean and roomy,stocked with dishes and pans,very cold air.If you want shoulder to shoulder people on beach&eat at red lobster then stay in Gaveston for $100 a night for a dump or if you just want to be away from the hectic city and explore the beach for shells, blue crab, hermit crabs or just relax and catch rays in privacy then High Island is the place for you!And with the affodable rates of HIGHISLAND RV then it is possible to put your saving toward the hard hit of gas prices or stay twice as long.I hope I can still get an Rv when word gets out about this hidden treasure :)

We just returned home from spending a week at the RV park. This was our second stay at the park. The RV park is very clean,quiet and family orientented. The laundry room and large shower are a great asset no matter how long you stay. The owners are very courteous and make you feel at home. I highly recommend High Island RV Park for your next stay.

The camp sites are excellent -- level concrete parking for rv's and cars/trucks. The layouts are correct for water, electrical and sewer. The restrooms are clean and kept that way. The laundry room is excellent with Maytag washers and dryers. We look forward to a return visit to this park.
