I was referred to Dr. Randell due to consistent unexplained pain that began 5 months after a partial laproscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Randell performed robotic surgery and removed my cervix, adhesions, ovarian cysts on both ovaries as well endometriosis. This surgery was more extensive than the partial hysterectomy but as a result of the da Vinci system and Dr. Randell’s robotic surgical precision, my recovery was reduced significantly and the small incisions healed in half the time than the previous surgery. I experienced normal post-op discomfort but felt immediate relief from the unexplained constant pain. Due to my diagnosis of focal hyperplasia in 2008, there is a likelihood that Dr. Randell spared me from cervical cancer as well. I was blessed that I found such an amazing surgeon in time. Dr. Randell takes pride in providing the very best for his patients and I would highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Randell!!

I cannot recommend Dr Randell highly enough. Having been told that a hysterectomy was the best option for my large fibroids, I sought a second opinion from Dr Randell, who came highly recommended on many of the healthcare websites for his knowledge and skill in the use of the "Da Vinci" robotic system . I recently underwent a successful robotic myomectomy, and I cannot thank Dr Randell and his staff enough, for all that they have done for me. At all times Dr Randell was professional and courteous. He listened to, and answered my questions, and took a caring and concerned approach to my care. Andi did a great job at helping me with the insurance side of things, Nurse Michelle was very kind and reassuring, and the staff at Northside Hospital were equally caring and supportive. THANKYOU!

I had been living with one extremely large fibroid (14 centimeters) for over six years. Two doctors told me that my only option was an open Myomectomy if I wanted to preserve my fertility. I had no interest in going that route since it required a long recovery time. I decided to leave that practice and was referred by my new OB/GYN to Dr. Randell. I knew from my first visit that I was in the right place. Dr. Randell was extremely pleasant and explained that he could remove the fibroid using the daVinci robot method. I had the surgery a few weeks later and all went well. I spent less than 24 hours in the hospital and I was back to work in 10 days! The best part of it all is that my fertility has been preserved and I have a chance of having a baby. Thank you Dr. Randell!

"I save uteruses, it's what I do!!!" These were the healing words of hope. Dr. Randell told me during my first visit this fall at his office. I was diagnosed with fibroids in 2006. I went to two doctors before finding the amazing Dr. Randell!! Both doctors gave me little to no hope of saving my uterus. For me a hysterectomy at 30 years old with no children was just not an option. Recently, I became critically anemic and knew something had to be done. So I prayed and God led me to Dr. Randell. I simply googled "top atlanta doctors fibroids" and there he was, Dr. Michael Randell. Needless to say, he performed my surgery, removed 12 extremely large fibroids, one of which was a whopping 25 cm and saved my uterus!!! He is truly a gift from GOD!!! He is the best!!! Over a period of 8 years, I have suffered back pain and losing a great amount of blood during my period. At that time, I was residing in Paris-France; I went to see my doctor who mentioned that I had several fibroids. In addition, he told me that I wouldn’t be able to have children and he can’t remove those fibroids; in that process, there was a chance to remove my uterus as well. I couldn’t believe that I had to go through that at the age of 19. Now at 27, residing in Atlanta, GA since August 2010 and met my “HERO Dr. Randell”, he said that “he will remove all those fibroids” and will leave everything intact and assured me that I will have children right after my surgery”. My husband and I couldn’t hold our tears. In May 2011, I had seven fibroid removed by having robotic myomectomy and in October 2011, I am now pregnant. I believe there is no gynecologist in the world like Dr. Randell. I would recommend every woman to use him as their gynecologist. Annie

Dr. Michael Randell is in every sense of the world a “Life Saver”! Not only does he perform miraculous surgeries most other doctors won’t even attempt and succeed with stellar results, but he also brings unique qualities in his medical bag rarely found in doctors. He brings compassion, a keen eye, open spirit and unequaled attention to detail. He treats the entire person and not just the diagnosis. Dr. Randell prevented me from having a hysterectomy which other doctors said was inevitable. He removed 37 Fibroids and reconstructed my uterus. It took me 10 years to find Dr. Randell but it was well worth the wait. He gave those fibroids their eviction papers and gave me my body and life back! I love Dr. Randell. A little less than a year ago my partner and I met Dr. Randell on the suggestion of a colleague regarding a problem I was having with fibroids. I have had surgery before to remove fibroids years ago & knew at that time they were not all removed & that there were many small ones which were not causing any trouble so I was advised not to bother with them. Fast forward years later, I experienced menstrual cycles which were in excess of 9 days @ a time, with cramps which had me in corners on the floor in tears on more than one occasion during my period. After going from one doctor to another (all telling me lies & poking/prodding my body and charging our insurance in excess) we met with Dr. Randell. Where other MDs were quick to tell me that I had to have a total removal Dr. Randell was peaceful & sure he could remove them w/o any backlash. He was able to get me in surgery in a week where others had told me months. Now, less than a yr later I am WELL. He is the ISH!!

I am a pediatrician who sees newborns at Northside Hospital. Recently, I needed a hysterectomy and wanted it done by a surgeon at Northside Hospital. After doing research regarding robotic surgery, I realized I was an unlikely candidate,(3 c-sections, a bowel resection for colon cancer, a small bowel obstruction and lots of bowel adhesions), but I consulted with Dr. Randell anyway. He was 80% sure that I would require an open procedure, but would attempt it robotically. Several hours later, I awakened from anesthesia having had a successful robotic procedure. I am quite certain that very few surgeons would have accomplished what Dr. Randell did robotically with respect to my complicated hysterectomy. Most important to me was that I was able to return to work in two weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Randell for anyone considering a robotic procedure.

After I presented with numerous large fibroids during my annual last year, my Obgyn referred me to Dr. Randell for a consultation. I was very nervous and had my friend accompany me to the consultation. I was impressed by Dr. Randell’s candor, intelligence and compassion. The day of the surgery, Dr. Randell was confident that he could remove the numerous large fibroids that I had. I was okay with the removal of the largest two. Post surgery, Dr Randell informed me that he removed all five. He visited me in the recovery room and sincerely wished me a speedy recovery. The recovery process was minimally painful. I cannot even see the incision he made in my umbilicus. In conclusion, Dr. Randell is a phenomenal surgeon who truly cares about women’s health. If you are having fibroid removal, Dr. Randell should be your number one choice if you want thorough care and minimally invasive surgery. He has a kind, friendly and helpful office staff as well.

Moving from Denver to Atlanta after a long struggle to get pregnant, followed by a late miscarriage, I was interviewing Atlanta obgyn's on their knowledge, willingness and compassion regarding infertility.I needed an obgyn that would work w/ me in every way to help me get pregnant and to figure out why I was having so much trouble.I called and spoke to Jenny on the phone, she spent so much time answering all my questions...very rare to get that kind of personalized attention! I knew this type of practice was a good fit after that conversation.Dr Randell did everything Jenny promised and more! He is intelligent, compassionate and dedicated. Yes, there might be a bit of a wait to see him but isn't that worth it when he doesn't rush you when it is your turn?He properly diagnosed my infertility issue after being previously improperly diagnosed, he helped to get me pregnant, delivered my son and was there for me (along with Jenny and Andi) every step of the way!Dr. R is hands down THE BEST!
