What to expect from effective dog training: a dog who happily responds to the owner’s requests, a dog who respects his owner and whose owner respects him. If a dog is trained effectively, there should be no negative fallout such as stress. What methods do I use: Positive Reinforcement: Anything which follows a behavior which increases the chance that the behavior will happen again. So for example, when your dog does something you like, you immediately treat, throw a ball, play tug with the dog, give a butt scratch to the dog, or happily praise the dog so his tail wags. It is important to note that it is what THE DOG PERCEIVES AS BEING VALUABLE that makes something a reward. Negative Punishment: The removal of the opportunity for the dog to earn things he likes, following a behavior we want to decrease. Examples: ignoring a dog who is barking at you for part of your dinner; putting the dog back in the house immediately if he bolts out the door and hits the end of his leash when you go to take him out for a walk. Cooper

We rescued our boy Cooper from the shelter. He was afraid to be around men and would not go in the car. We like to travel in the summer monthes so this was a real problem and he would run from my husband. we met Roberta in a park where she was giving a free seminar and made an appointment. Roberta came several time s and gave us the tools we needed to help our dear boy. Cooper now is accepting of men and is doing better with hte car. She helped us so much he is still a work in progeess as someone said but with our new tools he will be fine. we highly recommend her to anyone in need of help.

Alex is making new dog friends slowly but what a change Alex
