I'm an Italian-American who knows the real thing, and when I moved here from NY four years ago, I thought I was going have a hard time finding good pizza. So I took I a chance with the name "A NY SLICE", and gave it a try....and I've been ordering it ever since. It is my all time favorite pizza. All the other items on their menu that I've tried have been great too, particularly their calzones. Their 'small' calzone feeds about 3-4 people! By Judy Schiavone on June 27, 2009 at 03:31 PM
Man, I love this pizza. The crust is fresh, tastes great and "foldy" like you were actually in NY. I really like the sliced meatballs. But the best was suggested to me by one of the staff the other day. Try a sliced buffalo wing tenders (no bones, lightly breaded) PIZZA. Hot, tasty and very different. I have been going to NY slice since they opened. Their pizza is great and so are some of the sides. Try the roasted garlic tomatoe pizza! Their staff is friendly although there is a high turnover among the younger staff, so it's hard to be recognized as a "regular". Bad points are the cleanliness of the dining area. Carpeting was a bad idea. They should install hardwood floors. Also, there is one tv in one corner that is always blaring some sports channel. It would be nice of them to install another tv in the rear with a different channel. Also, the bad economic times havemade them cut back on their coupon offers. They used to have discounts for individual meals and those have dissapeared. A dipping sauce would be nice to finish the delicious crust with. If you are one of the poor pizza-hut/papa johns/fancy pizza-joint slaves, you will be liberated when you taste midlothians finest! By Gerry on April 14, 2009 at 11:13 AM
I also believe that they have the best pizza around. I am totally addicted to the XL Chicken, Pesto and Tomato Pizza and when i say XL it is huge. Their crust is great which of course is what makes the pizza along with everything else. I have tried quite a few different types and have loved all of them, my children love their chicken also. And the Calzones are to die for. WTG SAL!!!!!!!!! By Kelly Scott on October 13, 2008 at 07:52 AM
This place is the greatest. The pizza is totally legit and the other food rocks your socks off. The people are like way cool. Go there if you want super good pizza that doesnt stink of the bush leagues. By Anonymous on October 09, 2008 at 04:06 PM
As a NY'er, let me tell you, this is the real deal. I've tried everything in the Richmond area trying to find the taste of "home," and nothing comes close to this. Crust is crispy, ingredients are fresh, sauce and cheeses are quality. I wish they would open a store on Hull Street closer to where I live, but I'm happy to drive to get this good of a pizza. I waited two hours for a pizza order. It arrived cold. There was no explanation. I had to call to find out why it was not delivered after 1 hour.
Bad experience. Bad customer service. I know there are better pizza places out there. Please choose them. By Timothy Pohl on September 25, 2008 at 05:35 PM
A N.Y. Slice pizza is heaven on a plate. Their authentic New York style pizza will show you how wrong it is to order from "Mama Jones" and "Big Sneezer's". Their thin crust pizzas are made to order and are a great deal for the money. Over all the best pizza in Midlothian! By Anonymous on August 05, 2007 at 01:47 PM
