A Taste of New Orleans is just that for owner, Monica Tucker, who grew up in The Big Easy. The menu is a sample of a few things that local New Orleanians have a hard time finding outside of the city they call home. Sno-balls are a summertime favorite, with sno-ball stands in every neighborhood in the city. Everyone has their favorite spot and moving away from the city usually means only getting your favorite sno-ball during visits home. Another rare treat outside of the Crecent City is New Orleans Style Roast Beef Po-boys. They are MESSY but they are GREAT! We also feature daily specials from Red Beans and Rice to Turkey and Sausage Gumbo. We are also now serving traditional beignets and Cafe au lait. Hard to believe.
There is no taste of New Orleans at this restaurant. Poorly prepared food,just like the previous location is standard fare.

Simply outstanding
A Taste of New Orleans is real , authentic, New Orleans delicious food and right here in Fairhope, Alabama. The owners are fast courteous, the food is a flash back to New Orleans cuisine at its best.....the Snow Balls are the "Real Deal" and their accents are too!!! Highly recommend these people and their food!!! If you love New Orleans....then you will love A Taste Of New Orleans, right here in your back door!

Roast Beef PoBoy
It is a shame that the RoastBeef PoBoy is soooo good I never get past it to taste the rest of the menu!

Friendliest Place In Town
The food here is great. The po-boys are the first authentic ones I have seen in years. Dripping with gravy, and dressed to the nines. When you leave you will feel like you have just made a new friend, besides having a great meal. Plenty of football chatter with Colin, or New Orleans reminiscing with Monica. You will find yourself lingering after the meal just to chat with the owners, and other patrons.
