It's true, this is a strange place. The food is good but the people running the place are very odd. I feel uncomfortable there so I don't go anymore. By Terry on September 03, 2009 at 08:34 PM
The owners( husband and wife) leave such a sour taste in your mouth how could anything taste good!!! If you like to be treated rude, if you like to feel uncomfortable, than this is the place for you!!!! I won`t be spending my time or money here again, the food is just not worth the hassle. I don`t get it, aren`t you suppposed to appreciate and welcome people to your establishment.. I wish I could give Acorns a zero star for zero personality and customer service. What we have here is a woman who can bake her socks off and who detests people. Delicious food, horrible treatment. She belongs in a hotel kitchen where she can use her baking skills but not come within 100 feet of a person (except for the hotel worker who has to pick up the goods from her kitchen and deliver them to the customer - poor soul! I'm sure she'll find a reason to yell at them too). The worst social skills of any merchant in Needham. Get thee to a hotel kitchen and leave the public alone! By Tom on April 18, 2009 at 05:01 AM
If you like rudeness, go here. If not, go anyplace else. Didn't these folks get the memo that you're supposed to be nice to customers? By Sandy on April 14, 2009 at 11:32 AM
I went there once and honestly I had been very busy and in work clothes. I felt like they were not too appreciative of my business, but I am a very discerning person and I liked their goods enough that I went there at 1:55 PM the day before Thanksgiving to try to get something special for my family. Again in work clothes I wasn't well dressed but not like a bum either. I stopped to check my wallet and when I went to go in, the door was locked and a young man was sweeping the floor. A customer had just left a minute before and I was suprised it was locked. No one even looked at me as the young man kept sweeping. A customer came up behind me and rather cooly said to me, "They're only doing preorders". They opened the door let him in and relocked it. I thought it all a little rude and wondered if they had judged me undesireable because of my clothing. After reading the first two comments I'm leaning toward rude. I'm giving them 3 stars, 5 for quality of goods, 1 for attitude. 6/2=3 By Bob on February 15, 2009 at 11:36 AM
The attidtude is just tiresome, how hard is it to be friendly especially to those supporting your business, isn`t it easier to smile than frown, how about a welcome instead of a complaint! Definetly a talented Baker, but for me not worth the hassle anymore!! By Jean on August 08, 2008 at 05:33 AM
Without a doubt, best desserts i've ever had. IF you can get past the horrible, nasty, downright rude owners that is. I have never in my life met such grumpy people. By jane on July 28, 2008 at 06:53 PM
Without exception, the morning's offerings are exceptional. Muffins popping with fresh fruits, scones with fabulous texture and pecan rolls that you can only dream about. By Shelby Segal-Smith on March 18, 2007 at 03:05 AM
