First of all, thanks to Shauna for expressing my exact sentiments in response to the prior review. I can't imagine being disorganized enough NOT to make a reservation ahead of time for a large group.
My fiance and I came across Anthony's when we were driving around our neighborhood looking for something new to try. I come from an Italian family, and am at times critical of Italian restaurants (it's never the same as a good home-cooked Italian meal!)...however, this one was a breath of fresh air from the over commercialized Olive Garden-type restaurants that seem to be popping up everywhere! The service is excellent: helpful and friendly, yet not at all intrusive. We try something new every time we go to Anthony's, and are always VERY happy with our selections. Most importantly (for us!), everything is very reasonably priced. Thank you, Anthony's, for being our favorite hometown restaurant =)

So.. I myself have never been to Anthony's, therefore, I am simply responding to the obnoxious review from Feb. 1st. I just want to comment that first of all, please use spell check prior to submitting a review (just a personal pet peeve of mine). Secondly, if you have been planning this event for your mother's birthday for months, and for so many people, why wouldn't you call to make reservations? Coming from an experienced individual who works in the restaurant business, it would make sense to do so. Just putting the thought out there. Thanks and have a nice day =)

Today is Friday February 1, 2008.
My mother's birthday dinner "WAS" planed for months as she turned 83 today and we went to take her out for dinner along with 10 others from out of the area to Anthony's restaurant in Leeds tonight. The restaurant was closed to restaurant goers for thier banquet room catering.
How can a restaurant expect to run a catering business and close the restaurant down when they have a banquet during that time? Let's see, are you a resturant or a banquet hall??? Perhaps the owners should take a business management course that if you have a restaurant and a following, then expand to banquets that you need to keep BOTH open at the same time. The restaurant is in a separate area also.
None the less, thanks to Anthony's poor business management we all had to change our plans and look for another restaurant.
SHAME ON YOU ATHONEYS. I'll NEVER recommend your restaurant ever again to anyone and I will never return. Hope you go bankrupt.
