Bally Total Fitness

Customers, myself included, have had terrible experiences with their store managers lying to people about the terms of their contract. The are very good at sweet-talking and giving you "deals". When I signed up, they told me that I could cancel at any time. They glossed right through the contract and just told me to sign. Trusting them I did so. My mistake really. 1. 3 day window to cancel from the day you become a member. 2. Cancel if you are moving and there is no Bally within 25 miles. You can cancel your membership via the 60 Day Promise to you gimmick. In this clause, you are required to go to the gym 17 times - once a day. One of those has to be with a Bally fitness trainer. After you fulfill the requirement you have to submit a written letter of cancellation to their customer center within 10 days after the 60 day period. They need the physical letter in their hands within this time period. Also fax the letter to: 562-484-2445 for good measure. Stay away from Bally.
