Love this old-fashioned store. Justifiably famous for the sausage and other meats, but also great for local produce, salmon and other fish, homemade deli salads, beer & wine, and all the basic grocery necessities, combined with personal service and friendly neighborhood faces. I always do as much of my grocery shopping here as possible. Giant may be big, but it can't hold a candle to Boarman's! By Debra on September 19, 2011 at 09:54 AM
I've been shopping at Boarman's for over 12 years. It reminds me of when I was a child living with my Grandmother in the country. She cooked great Sunday breakfasts. We'd have (home-made), sausage, eggs, pancakes (or iron made waffles).Toast & o j rounded it out.Oh freshly brewed coffee was free flowing too...starbux who?I love Boarman's! The staff's always friendly. Go there & be well! Community oriented, they even have the Girl Scouts out front selling cookies. For the holidays, there's no shortage of fresh turkey dinners ready to roll. I just love the old fashioned charm. Visit the butcher or get a freshly made sandwhich, you'll be hooked like I am! Boarman's # 1 fan! By Brandi on March 13, 2011 at 06:20 AM
My mom always gets Boarman's sausage for the Holiday stuffing, she doesn't trust any other. Thier scrapple for breakfast is the best and thier chuck makes wonderful hamburgers! The Boarman family has every right to be proud of thier store! By Katy on January 28, 2011 at 03:39 PM
I think Boarmans is a great place to shop. They have the best
deli and veggies and meat. The Boarman family always works
hard to provide the best quality. By JENNY on October 16, 2009 at 10:02 AM
For Christmas Eve dinner I always have filet mignon and lobster. The last two years I purchased my filets and lobster from Boarmans market. I was very pleased with the quality and freshness of the meat. I highly recommend Boarmans meats , they truly are the best around. By Wanda on October 30, 2008 at 03:37 AM
Boarman's has the best produce and meats anywhere. Their produce is often local: corn, tomatoes, and spinach. They butcher their own meat and it is alway top quality. The deli has the best cut to order coldcuts around. You can even buy wine and liquor there, and not have to make an extra stop. The high school boys will carry your groceries out to the car for you.
The same folks have worked there the last 10 years I've shopped there, and it's like your family. By cathy cross on September 13, 2008 at 04:24 PM
Since Boarmans has a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables all year long, I just knew they would carry Winesap apples during the fall/winter months again.
Called to see when they would be available (bought some from there last year) and was informed they didn't have any but would get some ... JUST FOR ME! How great is that for customer satisfaction?
Gonna be a regular !!! By Valerie on November 08, 2007 at 02:05 PM
Boarmans Italian Mild Sausages are to die for. Except for locally, they are virtually unknown. But, they will be the best sausages you've ever had if you happen to be in the Highland, Maryland area and drop by their place. Very friendly people to converse with. When we moved out that way in 1979, we didn't know anyone nor did we know anyone to get service work done through. They turned us on to all the good organizations and companies...and we've been customers ever since. Great place!! By Stan Jenkins on September 24, 2007 at 12:14 PM
