We recently moved to Brenham, and there aren't many good restaurants. But BT is pretty darn good. They have the best onion rings, we love the southwest burger, it''s a fun bar, the salads are big and dark green and pretty good. It is one of the two good places to eat in town. We will never eat at this place again. The service was terrible. And.......we are not out of town people, we are local. By sp on June 17, 2010 at 07:05 AM
We had the bad luck to stuble into this place. The place was NOT full and still waited an hour to get food. When we did get it finally, it was mediocre at best for my fellow diners. For me it was sickening as I was bent over a gas station toilet 30 minutes later. All I had was a simple burger, nothing fancy. Oh, and who in blue blazes puts bacon bits on a burger instead of a slice of bacon? Avoid this place at all cost. By Jarred Stewart on April 04, 2010 at 05:59 PM
Texans are known for their food favorites - BT Longhorn consistently serves a quality food / dining experience. Going to Brenham means going to BTs for burgers. We keep meaning to try the other items ( which sound great) but cannot get past the terrific burgers. We eat in the bar, so we always have a conversation with the affable staff. Since I am a 16 year resident of Brenham and I have personally witnessed the rude behavior of impatient visitors to our town, I must say the staff service and food at BT Longhorn are excellent. So many times I have seen the narrow expectations from patrons expecting immediate service yet the restaurant is full! Working in Houston and being an experienced traveler has given me the ability (based on experience) to review restaurants and their service. Visiting many different venues one can quickly separate good restaurants from poor ones.
I would like to see restaurants rate the customers , wouldn't that be interesting to get the rest of the story? By Obren Djordjevic on January 07, 2009 at 10:57 AM
The staff was slow and extremely rude. We waited over 30 minutes with our iced tea to order. We had to leave to take a sick dog to the vets and told the server we could not wait any longer. The waitress cussed at us when we left By Sam pemberton on September 15, 2008 at 12:50 PM
The food was okay but we experienced the WORST display I've ever seen by an entire restaurant staff. We grabbed a few mints before we ate and joked about taking the basket (they're my favorites). After the meal, we were the only customers in the restaurant and the mints were gone.
There were 5 staff members sitting around the bar so we asked them where the mints went. They said "the kitchen staff must've taken them". A friend of mine then walked away to find them and a staff member said (under her breath, passive aggressively, "it must be because you took so many". The kitchen staff couldn't find the basket.
An hour later, the mints were back on the counter. We won't be back. By chitapita on September 08, 2008 at 12:59 PM
