Buttercup Bakery

Had the Orange cupcakes with orange frosting. Very tasty, moist and yummy. Makes you want to have more than just one. Looking forward to checking out the rest of their menu.

I happened on this bakery on a trip to Deland. The food was great and the place is very cute. I did not think the prices were too high because the quality was excellent. I would have given a five star rating but the staff just wasn't that nice. It was the end of the day and I figured maybe they were just tired. The place is so cute maybe I was expecting to be served by happy elves. The staff was not rude but not welcoming either. I will go back because the bakery is very good.

I happened upon this bakery on a recent trip to Deland and fell in love with it---The baked goods are DIVINE, and the fact that it has a drive-through window is FANTASTIC!!! The folks working there at the time were extremely helpful and even though there is an unbelievable menu with all kinds of goodies, they helped me with what I thought was the perfect baked good decision!!! I can't wait to go back and sample more from their menu!!!! This is a definite "must stop" kind of place when you're in Deland.

The scones are better than any I have ever had abroad!!! Their food is unmatched for freshness and/or flavor. This bakery should be cloned!!! For those that say the prices are too high...well then just go to WalMart, get your tires rotated, your oil changed and pick up your CHEAP, crappy, one month old dessert! I LOVE BUTTERCUP and the woman that own it!! They are sweet, special and a pleasure to do business with!

Yes, it is great to have a bakery in town again, however, expect to pay Winter Park prices for your yummy treat. Also, staff is a bit snooty at times. :(

I've just moved to Deland and discovered the Buttercup Bakery. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is fresh and the assortment of treats is mouth watering. So far (my family and) I've tried the delicious organic coffee, the carrot cake (exceptional, especially the frosting!), the marshmallow chocolate peanut bars, the chocolate chip scones and the apple bundt cake. All homemade and wonderful. This is a really special place...I'm sure it's popular with Stetson students(it's located just south of campus) and community residents alike. Enjoy!

If you are ever in DeLand you have to stop by the Buttercup Bakery. Not only are their desserts amazing, the atmosphere is something that you can't miss. I had my in-law's 30th Anniversary party outside on their little patio and it was perfect! The cake they made was delicious and their service is always the best.

This is the best bakery! I absolutely LOVE everything there. Everytime I go I feel like I'm a kid in a candy store. Delectable! Everyone must go there and try it!!!
