Canal Port

Go to this restaurant. I don't know what else to say. The food is amazing, the owners are personable, polite and engaging (and not overbearing like some places), and the bill was $20 less than it should / could have been. Not because they made a mistake - just because the prices are excellent. We will continue to frequent this one.

I have been to Canal Port several times for lunch with clients, and every time I have been completely blown away by the service, cleanliness and quality of food coming out of this restaurant in Utica, IL. If you are visiting Starved Rock, the Grand Bar Lodge, the August Hill Winery or anywhere in the LaSalle / Peru / Utica area - do yourself a favor and drop by. You will not be disappointed (I recommend the buffalo chicken strips - which are amazing - and any of their homemade soups).

food was great, service was horrible. very slow waitress didn't know what she was doing. The hostess was very stuck up and rude. She acted like we were putting her out. then there seemed to be some sort of dispute the hostess and some guy, who might be the manager. They were loud and disruptive to everyone who was eating. My husband and I were very uncomfortable. I do not reccommend it!

Would not advise going during holiday weekend. We have been there half a dozen times this past summer, but this last visit was the worse experience I have had at any resturant in a very long time. Food was good but slow. The service was poor and I felt they were somewhat rude.

This has become my favorite place to eat. I always try something different every time my husband and I go, and every time, I swear that's their best dish. I will say though, I'm partial to the Prime Rib and you can't beat their tavern fried chicken and fried mushrooms. Don't say I didn't warn you when you find yourself going back for seconds, thirds, fourths, .....

WAS AT CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH MY COMPANY I WORK FOR, THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, FOOD GREAT. PEOPLE VERY NICE WOULD HOGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE AT ANY TIME.
