What a joy it is to spend time in this quaint little grocery store. Upon entering one is serenaded by no less than Old Blue Eyes himself. The staff is very gracious and welcoming. The deli is full of delicous and unique options, from the exceptional chicken salad with craisins to the scrumptious San Mango sandwich. You can't go wrong here, it's all good. After many years filling my luggage with whatever was legal from my yearly trips to my hometown in Tuscany. I've at last found all I desire at Caravia's in Clarks Summit . There's fine Italian Pecorino cheese and an even greater treat, "The True Mozzarella", Buffalo Mozzarella from Italy. They offer various Extra Virgin Olive Oils without which I wouldn't be able to cook. Being an obsessive cook this place has made it possible for me to feel back at home. I strongly suggest you inquire about the Prosciutto di Parma. It is such a refined taste that when sliced thin to perfection with fresh ciabatta bread you will be in heaven and quickly forget the little extra you paid. I would highly recommend their Gelato by Ciao Bella. It's the closest thing to Italian homemade gelato. So, sit back, close your eyes and with each spoonful imagine yourself at an outside caffe' with a gentle Mediterranean breeze cooling you off after a long day at the beach! I absolutely love this little store. The produce is clean and beautiful. The staff is so friendly and you are always greated with smiles. The food is the best you can get. I ordered a fruit basket as a gift and it was overflowing. The fruit was fresh, flawless, and delicous!!!
I drive out of my way to stop there and I will continue to do so. Keep up the great work! By Gail on March 27, 2008 at 06:24 AM
I love everything about it! Huge selection of fresh organic vegetables. The Deli is great! The prepared foods are great!! The people are friendly and helpful. As you walk in you will be greeted by friendly, smiling faces that remember your name. Everyone is anxious to please! The food is both creative and pleasing to the eye. Usually I have trouble deciding what to get because I love their salads, Boars Head fresh deli meat and their famous chicken salad with craisins. Of course, there are the stuffed mushrooms that are as big as your palm. My husband always gets the chicken cutlets. When I am there I notice many people stopping by after work to pick up food for dinner - lasagna, some special beef dish, meatballs, pasta and rice salads, they have it all. There is always fresh, delicious soup as well. And let's not forget the samples of cheese and crackers! Whether you're eating in at the cafe tables provided, taking home, ordering subs or wraps for a party, Caravia is the "in" place to go for all your needs. The produce is very well presented and fresh! By Barbara Mangiaracina on October 02, 2007 at 02:16 PM

Rip-off of Cara Mia's in Dunmore, didn't even have the decency to change the name more. A poor imitation, stolen menu.

Today was the first time I actually came into your store. It is well laid out and exceptionally clean. Today was the second time I enjoyed your "Spring Salad". The taste is just sooo good. The blue cheese, nuts and cranberries along with all the baby lettuce and topped with the raspberry vinigrette....superb.
It is so wonderful to have your store so close to work and home.
