Chatterpillar is an incredibly fun place to shop! You can find a great gift for someone, or just shop for yourself. We have not only toys, but beautiful gifts for men and women, nice jewelry, intriguing rocks and minerals, books for kids and adults, electric and acoustic guitars, and some great prices on kids' apparel. It's different than any store for miles around, yet it's close by Interstate 5 in the mountains of southern-central California. Exit Interstate 5 at Frazier Mountain Park Road and drive west 3 miles to Mt. Pinos Way. While you're here, enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, breathe the clean air, and stop by Chatterpillar for a fun time. We'd love to see you!

Who would guess that this Gem of a shop would be found in Frazier Park? (It's three miles off the 5 freeway near the top of the grapevine.) Definitely worth a trip. Really an incredible selection of specialty and creative learning toys. Also they had gifts for teens and adults; fun gadgets, jewelry, bags, local honey, you name it. The selection was a little daunting in the space they had, but they are expanding now, so it should be easier to see everything. It's quite an adventure, and the people that own it and work there are always very nice; lots of freebies for the kids, etc. Makes it worth the trip up there.

This is an amazing little shop; chock-full of so many fun, lovely and surprising things. Great toys, gifts, balloons, books. Something new every time I'm in.
Lots of seasonal stuff. The Balloon creations the owner makes are fabulous!
Very surprising to have a place like this in a small town like Frazier Park.

When we were looking for a house in the Frazier Park area in 1998, Judie helped us immensely with the job. She was always positive, helpful, extremely informative, and just plain fun to be with in that difficult job. We recommend her highly to anyone needing to buy or sell and get good value for their money.
Enjoyable food and drink, comfortable environment, free WiFi. Kind of like being at home.
"Take one of the pieces of track to a local toy store and they will determine if it's Brio/Thomas-compatible. If so, most any of the train parts made by these companies or Melissa and Doug will work with your set. If not, then you're probably not going to find more parts--unless you make them yourself!"
"The best toy stores aren't always the biggest. The best toy stores will help you personally, give you expert advice, direct you to exactly what you're looking for and steer you away from what is not really what you need. They'll have a good selection of toys that are lasting and have great play value, not something that will end up in the junk pile. The best toy stores will do their best to save you time and frustration, and will even wrap your purchases, if you like. I suggest looking for a smaller, independently-owned toy store for your best experience!"
"We have them in Frazier Park, California."
"If that's the puzzle with the image of a moose or loon painted by Vi Eastman, it's no longer available. This is what Vi says: "I DID actually have a puzzle made of one of my paintings over ten years ago from Cape Shore in Yarmouth, Maine. They had a limited amount of time to 'use' that image and that time has long ago expired. The only way to get one now would be to find an out of the way shop (probably in Maine) that might have one left over because it didn't sell for some reason.""
"Contact the manufacturer NORTH AMERICA ITOYS Inc. (Toronto, Canada), at 416-703-5886, to see if they are available anywhere. I suspect, at this time of the year--Christmas, they won't be available."
