City of Houston Jail Division

I have recently be dealing with the Houston inmate jail system. I think to work in a negative work place day in and day out would ware on the human mind and physical body. I am hoping things in Our personal lives start turning around so we can start getting some of these out of controlled drinking and miss called judgements dealt with. We hope and prey she wants help in turning her life around. Thanks to the Houston Inmate system Our Daughter is still alive. But we really hope she is going to start making better life choices.

I have read a lot of reviews about the staff and public officials in Houston. My opinion is there are some officials that are probably distasteful but there are no organizations, groups, families, companies, etc. that allows any of us to make a general statements. Yes there are mistakes made with our system but there are mistakes made in our own personal life. When I get a ticket I can't blame it on the public official, I am the one that made the decision to do whatever I did. Yes when I make a bad decision there are consequences and I will probably be humiliated during the process but again I made the decision. Therefore, can we please try to make solid decision, stop pointing fingers and when we are faced with others making mistakes don't agitate the situation but use our anger management skills to working through thing. Remember when you are approached by a public official they do not know if you were the last person that kills someone down the street.

I was on hold for 57 minutes and finally got through. Wow......it takes a while.......I guess there are a lot of people calling in to obtain information.

Rating star is a BIG FAT ZERO! I was on hold for 32 mins., when the operator answered and hung the phone up in my face. Why is she getting a pay check and not doing her job??????

I wish there was a way to give no stars. I have called and held for an hour each time only to be hung up on. I called the city inforation line and they tried to help but, you have to have the driver's license number of the person you are calling about. This is ridiculous

Everytime i have called the Mykawa jail i have stayed on hold for over an hour and just eventually hung up. You'd swear they have one person to answer all phone inquiries. This is extremely ridiculous, and considering how much money i pay in taxes each year their should be a better system of management and civilian relations so that our community members are able to get the information they need, when they need it. I should not have to go over my minutes everytime i make a phone call to the city jail. And they wonder why people refuse to pay traffic violations and such. They dont care bout us and catering to our needs so why the hell should we care about what they need us to do. Screw the system, this is for the birds.

Everytime I called the number to get bond information I was on hold an average of 40minutes! Then it took them a whole 30 seconds to tell me to call back information not on computer yet!!! Hire more people or get people that move faster!!!

My kids and I were at home and 4 men kicked in the door and kicked my kids in the face and pulled me out the shower. They had us at gun point and took almost everything we had. After they left we called the police from a neighbors apt. I then callled my husband and he reached us before the police. When the police arrived they didnt even bother to get out of the vehicles!!! my husband was very uset and the police took it offensively and knocked my husband to the ground and took him to jail! not once did they try looking for the punks! I want someone to email me with any info on how to file a report against the police officer. znava2004@yahoo.com. Im trying to get him out of jail because now we have no money no crds or a plce to stay because they took him. Please anyone help!

I tried calling police on non emergency line to find out info and at least 5 different people either cut me off by putting me on the damn options automated system and was treated rude and also transfered to the same number as I have already called and had no option for what I needed. They think they are better than you and actually dis-connects you and you have to start over with the same usless info by automated call system.
