I am active duty in the Navy and have a Naval Flight Jacket that I would like to repair. The main zipper is broken and the elastic around the cuffs is rotted. can you repair it? dave.

I can replace the zipper but I can not repair the cuffs. I would recommend getting the cuffs looked at by Sharon at Hideaway Leather in Baltimore County. lHere is their website

I have a NRA leather jacket that has small hole/tear in one pocket. It also has several places along the seams where the seam has ripped open.
Can you repair damage like this?

My grandfather came from Italy to open a shoe shop in the Great Depression and this was not a time of just trashing things, instead society repaired what had broke.
This is a well needed service in this recession as well!

Clarkes' is Absolutely the BEST!
I have been using Clarkes' for my shoe repair, leather repair and key cutting for for over 15 years now (since 1993) and Clarke always goes above and beyond in his customer service and quality.
I have a $70 pair of men's Floreshiem shoes that I almost had to throw away but Clarke replaced the soles and shined them up so they look brand new. I have a nice $200 Bomber jacket that my mother bought for me in 1991. The zipper broke and I had Clarke fixe it in 1993. It was better then new. As a matter of fact it is still working today(2008). Clarke is also an expert at cutting keys, every time he cuts them perfectly. I once make the mistake of getting them cut at Home Depot and the keys did not work. Now I use Clarke every time. If he is closed, I will wait. Believe me it is well worth it.
You will not find anybody in this business better than Clarke. He truly cares about his customers.

Just when I thought good customer service was a thing of the past, I have found a little old-time shoe repair shop with a big reputation for keeping their customers happy for a lifetime. I had the opportunity to meet the proprietor / master craftsman, Jim Clarke, a pleasant young man who knows his craft inside and out. I can count on him to give me an honest assessment and estimate on whatever I bring in to have repaired. I highly recommend Mr.Clarke to bring back your favorite footwear to life

Shoe Repair is alive and well in Baltimore.
Clarke has been there for 16 years now repairing my shoes and handbags, etc. I've watched other shoe repair shops close up, never to open again . Yet Clarke is always busy. I think I have told too many people about this hidden gem. They are tops in customer service. Clarke listens to your needs and will only recommend the proper method to maintain your leather goods. He is an outstanding craftsman. You can count on his honesty and integrity.
