Cross Lake Inn & Marina, Inc.

I recently visited this restaurant and words can't describe how nice this place is. I was here years ago and you wouldn't believe the difference. The place is clean, the staff was nice AND the bathrooms are so different. The road could use some help BUT the owner assured me that was being addressed. After seeing what was done inside one would have to believe the roads not far behind....I can't wait until summer BUT I will be back this winter,maybe even by snowmobile!!!

I tried the newly opened restaurant. I did not have a good time. I will probably wait until spring to try it again. By then, they will have the kinks worked out. Besides, there was nothing special that would make me want to drive down that long gravel road in the winter.

I'm a local boater keeping a 25 ft cruiser at the recently reopened Cross Lake Inn &Marina and really couldn't be happier with the progress of the facility and the hospitality of the new management. The marina and grounds are clean with beautiful lawns and picnic tables.The docks are in good shape the fuel is reasonable and they have a dock crew that meets and greets most all of the launches and transit traffic and helps the boaters inbound and outbound. The kind of help that most all boaters wecome. I have also found that the other boaters renting slips to be friendly and over all a great atmosphere. I'm sure when the restaurant opens which I understand will be soon, this review will be upgraded to 5 stars. I'm looking forward to many years to come.

This marina was closed for two years and missed by everyone, it has reopened and the new owners have spent huge amounts of money to make this marina the premier marina in this area. With over 125 slips and 1/3 have electric and water. Located on the north end of the lake the waters are calm and deep. They provide overnight dockage for travelers. They are rebuilding the restaurant into a beautiful place to come for dinner or finger foods. The boat launch is wide and deep with plenty of parking space for your trailer. We love the fact the new owners are friendly and want to help the boating public something missed with a lot of marina owners. Their gas price is lower than other marinas in the area and dockage is fairly low priced considering the quality of the new docks. The New Cross Lake Marina is the place to stop if traveling the New York State Canal System.

Arrived for dinner at 6 pm on a Friday with friends for a drink and dinner. They were out of bloody Mary mix/drinks on our second order. (only one of us in our party of four ordered a bloody Mary) When the hostess sat us at our table she could only find three menus for the four of us. One was blank inside and two other menus did not match with the same entrees offered. The food was average but pretty good overall, the place looks very attractive,neat and clean but the service is horrible. After dinner we ordered dessert but did not receive it until 9pm. We arrived at 6 pm and were sat at a table at 6:15. We had to ask numerous times for everything that we ordered. After dessert we had to find a waitress to get our bill. This could be a great place if the owners would give their staff proper training. It is a very cute place overlooking Cross Lake and very convenient for boaters. It would be a shame if they went out of business because their lack of service.

Came by boat for 4th of July dinner, and what a terrible experience. After giving this place a 2nd chance upon hearing that the place had turned around from last summer I couldn't had been more dissapointed. Long wait, (over 1hr) cold food and the hostess clearly had no idea what she was even doing. Would someone please open a restaurant on this lake that knows what they are doing? Come on Cross Lake we really want this place to succeed, we NEED a restaurant for us boaters!

I attended the Cross Lake Vintage Race Boat event in August, 2010 and had a spectacular time -- event was well organized, entertaining and smooth. The staff at the Inn/restaurant/marina were extremely courteous, efficient, and pleasant (even when a bit overwelmed!) Their cheerrful, humerous attitudes made the event "fabulous" Food was great, decor also --Kudo to all!! Julie

We had our wedding at Cross Lake Marina this summer and it was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive! Everyone was very accomodating!

Disppointed in the staff, extremely slow wait staff, wait time once at the table for service is ridiculous. Food is just as bad....will never go back.
