Had dinner with my wife. The food tasted ok, although the pizza was pretty good because it is thin crust. The decor was nice, but the service was definitely lacking. It was a Friday night and they seemed pretty busy, but no justification, it took 10 minutes for a server to approach us. It seemed that she was part of the family and did not have much previous experience. The owner's wife was nice but the owner didn't seem to care much about his customers by just standing behind the bar and drinking the whole time. It was ok, don't know if I would go again. Definitely there are other better Italian restaurants! By Thomas on October 19, 2009 at 12:41 PM
Food was yummy. Service was very good. Orur server, JESSIE, was terrific. She was personable, very accomodating. and a pleasure. We started with six peoplle and then seven - no problem. The specials were delicious-angel hair pasta with clams - wonderful; lobster ravioli, lasagna and gnocci were very good. Only complaint was the corkage fee - definitely to steep. We figure it was about 25% of the bill. Yikes! Otherwise, a wonderful culinary experience. By JIM & MELINDA McI on September 18, 2009 at 09:15 PM
Went there 1-25-09 for quick lunch.
Decor: Its new so looks fresh. They have a bar but not full liquor license I assume since all I saw were wine bottles behind the bar. Its an enviting atmosphere trying to be upscale but thats why I didnt go 5 stars on this review.
Food: Must comment that the bread was real good and the butter was not frozen. Big plus on these two points.
ordered artichoke pasta and wife ordered pizza. pasta was very good but parmesan cheese they brought seemed to be the prepackaged variety and not freshly grated.
But the pasta was well prepared and had lots of veggies.
Portion may have seemed small for some folks but perfect for me.
The pizza was thin crust and wife liked it. I didnt try it so cant comment.
Service was good but there were only 3 tables.
The owners don't sound Italian but every restaurant in LA has cooks of hispanic decent so I wont judge by that.
The pasta, pizza, and Pellegrino bottle (big one) with iced tea was $40 with tip. By Andrew on January 25, 2009 at 07:16 PM
