A 21st Century Corner Store
The Darien News Store is a hidden gem amidst the growing number of chain and box stores in Darien. It has school supplies, party supplies, art supplies, office supplies, magazines, comic books, newspapers, local memorabilia (t-shirts, caps, etc)... the list goes on and on. The owner is personable and friendly, and you are often greeted not only by him but, his two talking parrots as well. The kids love it because it is so full of goodies that walking through the aisles is a bit like going on a treasure hunt.
