What a great job Dave did on four pieces of furniture for me. A chifforobe, secretary, mahogany occasional table and a 100 year old dresser mirror support frame. Superb restoration and refinishing,timely work, and within budget.

I was amazed at the results of Dave's work on what I thought was a not repairable drop leaf table. The table and washstand pictures are on his web site. Take a look. You won't believe the transformation Dave made. He brought it back to life for more generations to use and enjoy. I was also very pleased with the results of a wash stand I started to strip and knew I didn't have time to finish. Dave did an excellent job. They were done in less then a week! Super fast service. I have a few more antiques I plan to have Dave give new life to. Thanks Dave.

I had a large (30" x 30" x 48") purple martin birdhouse built by my great grandfather that had been chewed by squirrels and had some rotting areas. This was a very large task to strip four layers of paint, repair many damaged areas, and prime and paint the base color coat. I was amazed at the quality of work Dave did! You cannot tell that there was ever ANY damage to the house! He even retained the character of the carved decorative scrolls that he repaired--an awesome job! Dave took this project as a personal challenge and did the job right even though it took twice as long as he expected. If quality work at a very fair price is what you are seeking, then Dave's Touch-Ups, Inc. is definitely worth checking out.

We are most satisfied with the work done by Dave. We intended to buy new bedroom furniture but could not find anything that we really liked. We still liked our old things but they were looking pretty worn and tired. Dave took them all on Saturday and brought them back on Wed. It looks like new furniture. We could not be more pleased. I approached Dave about fixing a piece of missing veneer on a 1939 Zenith radio. He took the time to explain how the fix would be made and what to expect. The radio looks fantastic, and since Dave used the materials appropriate for the period, still retains its character. I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Dave!

Thank you is not enough for the beautiful refinishing you did on the Tea-Cart. I could not believ the way the grain "popped", nor the gentle finish to this delicate piece. You truly have out done your self, I have been showing your pics of before and after and no one can believe it is the same piece. Your touch and caring shows thru in your work, you have kept a peice of "Family" alive. I have the family lore and I am working on placing this piece in Mary Todd Lincoln's possesion. It may take a trip to the homestead in Illinois or I will come upon an original picture in their home or perhaps the "White House" and when I do I will make sure you recieve a copy so we may validate this piece forever. I happened upon this website back in november because I wanted to find someone who could stain my whitewash breakfast set. After 13 years the stain was starting to fade and it was not looking good at all. I called several places and either they couldn't or wouldn't mess with whitewash. Then I lucked upon Dave's Touch-up website. Dave's website is informative and he provided many before and after photos. After speaking with him over the phone, he explained to me in full detail the pros and cons of working with whitewash. I was comfortable speaking with him and I knew I could trust him to do a good job with the table set. Plus his rate was reasonable for that type of extensive work. My family and I are so happy with our new breakfast set. It just so happens that the stain we chose, Perfect Brown with Dave's help, matches our granite top perfectly and our kithchen looks absolutely great. The new stained table and chairs should last another 13 or more years. THANK YOU DAVE!!!!!
