Great Quality

My husband and I just started eating Kosher a few months ago. We have only purchased the boneless, skinless chicken breasts and we love them. The taste is much better than non-kosher chicken and we love that it is not frozen. Thank you DEPF for making our kosher eating experience a good one!

I like buying from a place that is family owned, and takes care of the customer. They answered my questions when I called with real concern and patience. Sam T.

Feathers Galore

We just bought 3 DE chickens from the Military Commissary store in Riyadh, KSA. We like to buy our chicken with the skin on for BBQ and grilling, OMG when my wife opened the packeages, I have never seen a processed bird of any kind with so many feathers and so dirty! Had to remove the skin and thuroghly clean..won't buy DEP birds again!

Disappointing product

1

Bought 2 cut up chickens @ Shop Rite Sunday, 1/24/10. Opened up both packages to make soup and to my great dismay found the pieces covered with feathers, leftover burn spots and quills. It took me 1 hour to clean them. By the time I finished cleaning them I was thoroughly disgusted to think that a product was actually sold in this condition. Needless to say I will never buy your product again and even though I did make the soup I couldn't eat it remembering how "DIRTY" it was.

Great people create great processed chickens!!!

Thank you for the excellent chickens that you provide! They are a family favorite. Our family considers it a treat! I have met the owners, and would be hard pressed to find more upstanding people. They have integrity, are honest, and try to help anyone whom they can. This attitude, is clearly carried through in their production of quality chickens.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!

I AM THOROUGHLY PLEASED WITH THE KOSHER CHICKEN. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO RETURN TO BASIC COOKING; WITH JUST SEA SALT AND COCONUT OIL. PAN-BROASTING WITH CARROTS AND CELERY SHREDDINGS MADE A DELIGHTFUL HOLIDAY MEAL. AGAIN, I THANK YOU

Worst chicken ever!

1

I have never been more disappointed with any chicken. The wing tips were gone (my favorite treat). No giblets. The skin on both sides between the breast and the legs had been slit, as well as the skin on the back, and every drop of fat was removed from the inside. This not only made it impossible to roast without miles of twine to tie it together, but did not leave me any fat to render, which is something I like to do. Clearly, you removed every tidbit that you could sell to someone else. I paid for a whole chicken. With all of these parts missing, I did not get a whole chicken. Once roasted, the meat was dry, as I anticipated from the skin having been sliced open - I point out that I am a professional chef and I know how to roast a moist chicken. The problem was the bird, not the cook. Even with lemon, garlic, olive oil and rosemary, the meat was tasteless. When it comes to David Elliot chickens, Kosher does not translate to mean "fit".

Terrible meat!

We are very disappointed with the quality of your meat that is being sold at Kroger's . I am 78 years old and am used to buying kosher meat. We had Club steak last night and it was tough and tasteless.
