Owner is very rude. He told me to never come back. I do not recommend this store to anyone, even though I shopped at it for 20+ years. I asked for a donation to a team, and the owner said they don't donate to that type team. He took my discount that I had been getting and told me not to come back. VERY RUDE after I have shopped for so long.

They always give you a 9% discount so don't be too worried about the prices. They carry great products and the employees seem pretty nice, however, my friend and I have noticed that the caged animals, specifically hermit crabs, are mistreated. They keep about 20-30 of them in a small 10 gallon tank and only have one sponge and a small food bowl. Considering how much money they make, you'd think they could get a tank or two more and have necessary things in the cages (water bowl, something to climb, hut, and space to live in).

the place is pretty good but i personally like bowling greens fishy buisness better.

The store is clean. Animals seem to be well taken care of when this store is compared to others I have been in. Once in a while some of the management seems to be rather abrasive. However, they are helpful. The more you visit the store, the more you will like them. This pet store grows on you. They carry absolutely any product you can think of. The prices seem high at first, however, if you check your receipt they always give a 9% discount. They are very knowledgeable. The store is a bit cluttered with product, however, this can be understood when you learn the fact that they have absolutely no stock room. Thus, the cluttered nature of the store is necessary to being able to offer the consumer the diversity of products that they do. My final thoughts are that if you can get past the abrasiveness of some of the management you will find this store very helpful, especially taking into account you would have to travel 45 minutes to get to the nearest pet store to Madisonville.
