First Choice Mortgage

First Choice made many representations that my mortgage could be closed on time, then waited a month to get approval of the condo. They were dishonest throughout the process, taking longer than they promised for underwriting, lying about calling the attorneys regarding a potential closing (including their own, who I had to call directly to get any sort of straight answer), and then leaving us hanging as our contractual closing deadline passed. When we complained and asked for a letter rejecting the mortgage on the grounds that First Choice could not close the loan in time (they had 45 days and promised it could be done in 30 or less), they refused, as it we were deemed "approved" borrowers for an "approved" building. Still, no closing. As a result, we will lose our down payment and we still have nowhere to live as we sold our current residence. Do not trust and do not use First Choice Home Mortgage.
